Susan Dwinchick Poem
You asked me yesterday my love
If I would become your wife
Let me tell you that forevermore
You will only be in my life.
There’s something I must say to you
These things my love are true
You must never forget these words I say
Because my darling, I love you.
My heart’s your forever
My mind and body too
I give you completely
A love that’s pure and true.
I’ll never ever hurt you
We’ll never part
My darling I have loved you
Right from the very start.
I answered yes to you my love
I open up my heart
Because love isn’t easy
For love is an art.

Susan Dwinchick Poem
If only I had a chance
I dream what it would be like
to have you laughing with me,
to be able to hold you close,
to be able to spend time with you.
We walk past each other
with just a friendly hello spoken.
Our shadows meet on the cold,
emotionless pavement.
For that second were close,
closer than well ever be.
You don't know how I wish I could talk to you.
If only I had the chance.
Time moves on,
and I know that it will eventually run out
and you will just be a
distant memory in my past.

Susan Dwinchick Poem
As I look across the sky
With waves lapping at my feet
I saw shades of yellow, pink,
and red acorss the summer sky.
Them the sky was dark
and the stars bright.
My heart felt light as air
But as the wind began to blow,
I turned around and walked away
Without a single look back
to what I left,
but to only to
what's ahead of me.

Ideas into thoughts
Thoughts into inspiration
Inspiration into motivation
Motivation into pen
Pen into paper
Paper into syllables
Syllables into words
Words into sentences
Sentences into stanzas
Stanzas into passion
Passion into poetry.

Susan Dwinchick Poem
How can you get what I want
And what you want
And even though you hate your life
You shouldn’t because look at me
I have nothing
My life’s dull
And I can’t get over the frustration
Because you take away
Everything
And I get nothing
But wishful thinking and
Shattered hopes.

Emotion.
Raw, subtle
Shifting, pulsing, transforming
A centerpiece of soul.
Human.

Susan Dwinchick Poem
Complication
Is the puzzle of life
Finding the pieces
Just a head start
Once you’re built
You’ll know who you are.

Susan Dwinchick Poem
You see the tears
Roll down my face
The time has come.
You walked away
I reach for you
But you say no.
I turn to leave
Tears fall from my face.
You whisper one last time
Goodbye.
