-WHY!?-
Why do the many "Great United
Nations" of the world;
Suffer from underfunded education,
while taxing with frivolous expectations,
researching into lab based creations?
Enact vast unjustifiable laws,
endorsed by a corporate cause,
to eliminate and perfect human flaws?
Have men, women and kids on the streets,
enduring poverty and self defeat,
hungrily watching the upper class eat?
Support political and business corruption,
profiteering from the production,
of environmental and human destruction?
For we, the people of these many nations,
have allowed ourselves to be victims by
not taking a stand hand in hand. Let us
unite as a race and break through their
grand lies, by first asking ourselves...
"WHY!?"

-Toxic Nights-
Governmental wars are waged,
and few are truly known,
While the C.I.A. fights Terrorism,
with terrorism of its own...
The E.P.A. battle chemicals,
pervading our very homes,
and landfills ravage earth,
becoming environmental tomes...
Mans swelling might,
our "plastic oceans" blight,
has shed unnerving light
to our planets Toxic Nights...
Will the great powers that be,
ever aid and help reprieve,
this industrial polluting routine,
endorsed by their War machine?

Jose Rodriguez Poem
-"Where's Daddy?"-
"Mommy, where's daddy?",
her young son asked one day.
She replied, "He's gone, he
has traveled far away.
He is protecting our home
from unknown dangers,
and fending off all of
those evil strangers."
"Is he killing them?" whispered
her timid son.
"Unfortunately so dear,
but not for any fun".
"Will he be home for mothers
day dinner tomorrow night?"
She hesitated, "He might be,
he just might.............."
She surrendered to silence
and succumbed to tears,
as she suddenly was endowed
with her inner most fears.
She dropped, screaming,
to the wooden floor.
As a uniformed silhouette,
approached their front door...

-Food for thought...-
Distributed freeze-dried nutrition,
a consumers dietary attrition?
Constitutional, by institutional
conglomerate corporate ambition.
Do our politicians convictions
mandate our "home-style" traditions?
It's the consumption, of faux production,
that decays our human condition.

-Garden in the Grave-
Watching as an orchid's
last petal drifts
helplessly to the ground,
I realize that I am
witnessing natural art
in the making...
For it's body;
frail, wilted, and dry,
withers within it's
seedlings vast plot.
Preserving the following
generations with it's
nourishing memories and
essence...
Forever more, this
orchid shall be know as nothing
less than a Garden within its
own Grave...

Jose Rodriguez Poem
-I wonder...-
Do we share the same night sky?
Does she see what I see?
This vibrant distant moon?
The blanket of lucid stars?
The infinite possibilities?
Does her very breath become the wind that
softly caresses my skin? Can she hear my
poetic musings in the distant thunderstorm?
Does this eve unite our wayward souls, if only
for a moment?
This unnamed feeling transcends universal motions,
while my heart flutters in tempo with the cosmos.
I long to fill the void with her majestic presence, and
share with her a universe of undying compassion.
I pray that our souls, in affinity, may one day
embrace tomorrows unknown possibilities...

-Mr. Crow-
Oh, Mysterious figure in the sky,
Two shades darker to the eye.
No destination, too far or too high,
fly, Mr. Crow, fly...
Free, from the tyranny of human lies,
And Untainted by corrupted ties.
With no need to exist by alibis,
Why, Mr. Crow, why?
You soar about with your brethren forever,
bound to the limit less skies together.
United by a common cause, to endeavor,
abide Mr . Crow, abide.

Jose Rodriguez Poem
-Somnolent Sun-
As the sun sets, into
a somber crimson sky,
radiant beauty shines down
on those who cannot fly.
Inspiration gleaming at this
moment caught in time,
creating a soothing memory,
instilled within my mind.
Filling the Earth with the
warmth of her heart,
while setting away,
committed to her part.
She slowly fades behind
the horizons of the bay,
with promises of return,
for another day.
