Freedom

Running wild and free
I am honestly happy
Nothing in my way

One For Kicks

I know a bird who sways and swings
He jumps and kicks and flaps his wings
He cannot fly in stormy weather
He cannot strut his fluffy feathers
So instead he sits and sings.

The Feeling

From deep within a silence grows
Vastly spreading, yet no one knows
No one knows of what's to come
The Feeling is sudden, then it's done.
Often with pain, fits of sorrow
The Feeling leaves nothing, not even a morrow
With much haste, take one last breath
We all succumb to The Feeling of Death.

A False Reality

You're an illiterate literate, a contradictory existence
Your stupidity is obvious, your ignorance, consistent.
You major in directions and minor in detail
Yet you speak in tongues and write in braille.
You base your thoughts off of hopes and dreams
Off of useless prayers or so it seems,
No one can dive into the depths of your mind
For it's an endless pit, an abandoned mine
Ignorance is bliss, or so you say
With that saying, you lead the way.

Words For You

"Love the life you live, Live the life you love."
Words to live by, or is that so?
The motto for life will be forever unknown.
For life is tough and life is ugly
Life is rough, never thriving always struggling.
Does life have to be this way? The answer is yes.

No war has been won without a fight
One may disagree, but you know I'm right.
Nothing is given, only taken
"Life is easy."... You have strongly mistaken.
The will to wait will bring success.
Only time will lay struggle to rest.

Those are words to live by.

Wandering

My mind wanders as I'm writing a free verse
What if?
A common question among all civilizations
What if things were different?
Would I be as I am today?
What if?
A simple poem turned complex.

A Life Too Real

Loved by no one
Hated by all
Blank stares fill the halls
What am I to be?

A feeling of pain
Known all too well
Erected from the depths of Hell
How do I overcome?

A solemn life
To be spent in sadness
Eternal silence results in madness
When will I be found?

Forever adrift
In a sea of sorrow
Dreading the wake of a hopeless morrow
Will this ever end?

The will to fight
Fades with time
A mountain of heartache, an endless climb
Why did God choose I?

Anger and resent
All much too real
Constant rage a daily ordeal
Will I ever change?

Champion

My will to win cannot be broken
Hit me, push me
Speak the words unspoken
I will never break.

Your best shot is far too weak
Hit me, push me
Find my pain in which you seek
I will never break.

I will stand strong.
I will stand tall.
I will NOT falter.
I will NOT fall.
