Herold Owoseb Poem
Smile of a child
BY HEROLD OSMOND OWOSEB
So innocent; so fragile
So gullible; but who can blame them
Powerless; no sense of direction
But filled with a seed of greatness
The smile of a child
So comforting; so fulfilling
Filled with strength
Fuelled with hope
No trace of darkness
It consumes every piece of it
It wins many hearts
And conquers many minds
All they need is love
All they need is warmth
A home and a sense of belonging
Then you experience the wonder of every smile

Herold Owoseb Poem
Beautiful soul
BY HEROLD OSMOND OWOSEB
In your heart there is a river
That flows so calm and still
In your eyes there I see a light
That shines like the sun
Beautiful soul beautiful soul
Wonderful light within thy eyes
I feel my heart raising as I gaze upon your eyes
Your eyes, your eyes filled with light
Leads the way to your soul

Herold Owoseb Poem
Till the end
Further and further i will walk; till the end
Higher and higher i will climb; till the end
In the absence of meaning i will walk; till the end
I will climb with my faith in my grasp; till the end
An endless journey i have undertaken
With the thought of eternity in mind
My eyes set on the image of glory
In complete chaos with peace within

Herold Owoseb Poem
Patriotism
BY HEROLD OSMOND OWOSEB
As the rays of the sun fades away
A new form of reality comes of age
Sparkles of light come alive
And fill my bedroom window
It reflects the reality I face everyday
But amazingly I do not face it alone
On every street corner
And every bus stop
We share the same feeling
One word describes it, “Patriotism”
A sense of loyalty and pride
Pride in a beautiful, peaceful country
Namibia a flower along the streams
Filled with living water
Protected by a powerful Immortal King
A beautiful landscape
A place where the desert meets the sea
My country, Our country, Namibia 8 May 2012

Herold Owoseb Poem
I call you friend
By Herold Osmond Owoseb
I have walked for miles
I have seen the tiles
And felt the colours of the rainbow
I have seen your smile
For more than a while.
Have watched you grow and thrive;
Into the talented young woman you are today.
What else have I to say,
Other than that you have inspired me,
To be the bests me I could ever be.
Moments have come and gone
And I wish for that special smile to brighten my day
I have a friend I can call a friend,
Even when life brings the distance.
May you continue to blossom
And ignite like a torch of hope for many to see

Herold Owoseb Poem
Under the Camelthorn tree
By Herold Osmond Owoseb
Beneath the tree, lies thy heart
Beneath the tree lies the truth
Where strangers came to lay their head
Where creatures came to escape the heat
Beneath the tree, lies the key
The key that holds the peace
A peace that shows that we are free

Herold Owoseb Poem
Prisoner
BY HEROLD OSMOND OWOSEB
I dare not say that I am innocent for I am not
I have committed a crime
But my delinquency is contrary to felony
I have committed a crime of goodwill
My transgression may not require the compensation of a custodial sentence
But I deem it necessary to be jailed
Furthermore, I implore thee to let me hang by the tree
For I find no a reason to walk any longer
For too long I have carried the burden
Too long I have held on to this love
I have loved uncontrollably
My whole heart I have given unto thee
Though I am dubious of thy thoughts
I ponder on what to do
Locking the door is painful
But no longer can I wait, for a shooting star on a cloud-covered sky

Herold Owoseb Poem
Bended
BY HEROLD OSMOND OWOSEB
Bended, can’t be mended
Left in the cold, feeling stranded
Selfless, in need of connection
Fighting a battle with no hope or affection

Herold Owoseb Poem
I will carry you
BY HEROLD OSMOND OWOSEB
In expectation
Ready to receive
In expectation
Waiting for rain
The clouds gather
Progress a process
Waiting on the first drops
Can feel it in the breeze
Like silver and gold
I will treasure you
Through rivers and jungles
I will carry you
In the dark I will search
During the sunlight, I will pursue you
The day will come; I will find you
There is sign of rain
