Seed of Friendship-A Dedication

L-iving in a world of vast
souls formed from
another voided world,
E-ntering thru portals
from their world to earth.
O-ozing spetacular smell
and wail when the chips
are down.
N-urtured from cradle to
adulthood-independent
entity with a new world
to face.
O-rganizes oneself for the
task ahead,passing thru
hurdles of life unabased
and unabashed.
R-eaps the fruit of labor
with joy or heavy heart.
A-ge sets in,mission
accomplished or not will
dawn on the entity.

I-n retrospect,he thinks
about his childhood and
how life was to him.

L-iving in confidence or
shame,he bows his head
in victory or defeat.
O-nly the taste of time
will tell the durability of
his achievements.
V-oid of preference the
aim result bears the
foundation for his lineage.
E-njoyment or lack lies
with the works of the
man,for there is no food
for the slothful.

Y-oung ones,a stitch in
time saves nine,make
haste while the sun
shines.
O-iling your lamb always
like the ten virgins is the
key to success.
U-rging you to shun peer
pressure and focus on
the course marked out
for you by fate,so a
fulfilled life you shall live.

An acrostic for you
Leonora Galinita.

Sweet Leonora and the Singing Dolls

In life,the world lay in
uncertainty with vague
knowledge of the future.
  There are rare guiding
angels in our midst who
are sent to illuminate our
dark paths with love and
happiness.
  Leonora Galinta,I wish u
can fly to me so that I
can hold you in my
arms...together we recite
the sweet melodies of the
singing dolls we have
met.
  Poet destroyer sings like
muse from the golden
land,Skat's humor and
docile look melts the
depressed heart,Dr
Mentha is as stable as
everest,Andrea a rare
gem,deschler one of a
kind,Adams a soothing
balm to the wounded
soul,Bob a man of
honor,Shadow a lovable
one,Jay loveless a friend
that flows like a sparkling
spring,Gopela a warmth
to cold mind,and host of
other dolls.
  Sing,sing,sing
ye singing dolls,your
songs are songs of
wisdom freedom and
inspiration, an elixir.
In my dreams I hear
melodies of your songs
echoing poem is life.
   If am to live again,may
I dwell in the world of
poetry.

A special tribute to my
unique friends who have
touched my heart and all
the wonderful soupers.

A Plane and the Eagle

O'er tempest,soars the
eagle with wings
stretching towards the
smiling sun.
        Gliding-nature's
handiwork.
    Up the sky,a figure
with outstretched wings
battling the turbulent
wind and frowning sun.
      Soaring like an eagle-
Never an eagle.
      Gliding like an eagle-
Never an eagle.
      Mistaken for an eagle
in the sky-never an eagle.
      Utter's sound as the
eagle-never an eagle.
    This man-made
handiwork,dismember's
under a stormy wind.
    For paid price-loss of
lives.
    The works of mother-
nature can never be out-
dated or equalled.
    Frog-men under sea
and frogs in the waters
can bear witness.

The Night Owl

Hoot! Hoot! Came the call
In silence I listened,heard
Nothing.
Suddenly, hoot! Hoot!
Came the cry,tree
Branches rustling,wings
Flapping.
Seems the world was in
Oblivion-the absolute
Silence.
Went I to the window
and Looked into the
empty Darkness. As I lay
down,I Knew somewhere
I would Hear that sound
again.

The Solitary Traveller

Down the endless road I
Walk.
The road of life or you
May call it the road of
Torment-but know I the
Name.
Along I walk,the trees
Whistling as I journey on
With gentle breeze of the
East caressing my worn-
Out body.
Down I walk,meeting the
Hurdles of life.
I tarried,struggling and
Fighting my way;lo! Am
Stuck in despair and
Dissappointment.
Hoping for no hope to
pull Me thru.
Suddenly,I cried,then a
Saintly hand pulled me
Thru.
On the endless road I
Journey,I saw and heard
Shouts,sounds and smell
Of powder pervading the
Atmosphere:people
Running in confusion.
The sun turned red,the
Theatre bore death.
On my next turn,I heard
Moanings and sounds of
Pleasure,one beckoned
Me,icame I and took part
In the ecstasy-i realised a
Folly it was,went I on.
Passing through
esker,my Body chilled.
Then I reached a dry land
With scanty huts,wetting
My throat in a hut.
With a scorced feet,I walk
On this endless road,I
Witnessed a
gathering,Legs moving in
Rhythm and hands on
Drums,I ate and moved
On.
Came I to a serene
place,I wondered as I
sojourned,the speechless
Mouths and hands
restraining one another
To join the "lonely"body
Below.
I passed a crossed
building;hands clasped in
Gentle procession.
Moved I to pace of
Sustainance;the noisy
Atmosphere,hands
Exchanging needs.
On and on I walk on this
Endless road,when will I
Reach my destination,
When my knell of old St
Antonne tolls?

The Eye

The eye,a sign the
unwise can't comprehend
  Forged from the world's
origin,an
illumination in darkened
minds,for the
enlightened ones like
Leonardo da Vinci,Isaac
Newton,John Milton....etc.
   The eye is a tree
with many branches like
Priory of Scion,Knight
templars,I.O.G.T,United
Nations,Masonic
Lodge,Music industry,
Politics,global economy,
etc
stretching beyond
human imaginations-felt
in all corners of earth.
  The world is clothed
through wisdom from
above.
   The eye,all seeing
sign,an invincible
emblem of power and
riches to the lion hearted
and loyal souls.
A seat of influence and
fame.
  Creating the social order
through men of power....
  Some see it as a
curse,others a blessing.
I feel it,the great eye is
everywhere watching
you!

Meeting the Soupers

"Your first poem was an
excellent poem....you are
welcome...." Commented
skat on my first poem.
"Wonderful and deep
poem....you are welcome
to poetry soup..." That
was Poet Destroyer.
"Wow you have touched
my heart in a special way
with your poem.....your
new friend Leonora
Galinta" said Galinta.
"Well penned" said
kithinji and so many
special poets.
Hearty words from these
unique poets spurred me
to write better poems.
Which they appreciate.
Poetry soup is safe haven
where feelings and
emotions are expressed
in tangible forms.
An educational enclave
where different forms of
knowledge are
exchanged like two
hands washing eachother.
Am most humbled to
meet these dazzling
gems radiating warmth
like the sun-a privilege it
is connect to parts of the
planet.
I believe we all will meet
someday,not in the after
life.
Leonora Galinta is an
angel to meet,whom I
admire amongst others.
Love to set my eyes on
her delicate and graceful
nature. See her graceful
carriage, feel her gentle
hands and smiles as she
exudes sweetness. I pray
hand of time will
backwards when that
day appears as we walk
in the woods leading to
silent deep blue sea with
gentle breeze
whispering...... A prolific
writer as well.
PD will I meet
someday,love her
amiable nature,full of
grace and charm. A
prolific poetess.
Skat is lovely with her
immeasurable words of
encouragement.
Kithinji will I love to
behold,to learn from him.
Have drink with Robin,
Alian, shake akinyemi,
stroll with Joe, hv a hike
with
Sibanda, dine with Ralph
and you.
Saying hi and hugs to
Paz Samelo.
Meeting the soupers is
making a happy family.
   Am gliding like the
eagle,soaring higher as
the day pass by.
you soupers are my
strength.

Heart of the Sea

Heart of the sea,deeper
than a chasm-insatiable
monster like the
graveyard.
    Habouring the wrecks
of
sunken ships and
treasures,the abode of
the titanic.
    Silent but troublesome.
Nereus safe haven and
the Nereids on errand
riding dolphins-saving or
destroying at your will
strange presence.
   Waves spread to all
parts
within minutes of your
ignition.
    Heart of the sea,so
vast that a journey on
you can't be
accomplished without
your guide.
   A shimmering rare
pearl
looming underneath.
Underneath u coldness is
cast into oblivion-a
warmth to the
inhabitants.
Heart of the sea is like
heart of a woman-always
pregnant after delivery.
Who can fathom your
depths?

Alone In the Dark

I opened my eyes,under.
A bleak atmosphere-
deserted I beheld.
Sinuous channels flowing.
Whimpering
Sounds escaped,
As I walked on vast layer
Of permafrost.
Beyond the horizon,the
World lay bare.
With my heart in my
Hand,I passed thru
Argyle And Hellas,amid
eerie Sounds echoing as
dust
Storms circled,forming
Shadowy figures.
Storms etching
The terrain,light
Coloured dust particles
Created shifting light
And dark patterns.
How came I into this
Voiceless world?
Three thousand miles,
Across is chasm;beneath
Lay the throne of Hades
I thought.
Drawing near,I jolted
As I heard a voice.
In the ship, this voice
Echoed in my ears-
"Welcome to earth!"

A Land Bearing Green White Green

Which way leads to the
land of green white
green?
Which way are we
heading?
   A country the wicked
bears the rulership, and
the people sighing
continuously.
   A terrible thing sprouts
beneath the sun: a
pregnant woman
delivering not.
Imps come to lime-light
by snuffing air from the
goose that laid the
golden eggs.
The blind guiding the un
blind.
The weak suppressing
the strong-a terrible
thing.
Like the overthrow of the
gods at Mt. Olympus by
the Titans.
A country where also
thieves appear as men of
integrity.
Land of green white
green,which way?
A land where the
enlightened ones are
overshadowed and
peanuts given to them.
The masses are dogs that
eat the crumbs.
 Which way to go you
Land?
Iliterates stand on
podium of power
bellowing orders as milk
of sorrow known as
dividends of democracy
is passed around.
The machine of progress
manned by the
unproductive.
"There is better
tomorrow" we hear.
Land of green white
green,my country
where rule of law walk
beside anarchy.
The proles are sentenced
to adversity,and there
endured death-like trials.
Chai! Aru! People
dancing on thorns
whimpering as they
throng
along.
I see a new sun rising
from the horizon,hope is
rekindled as its rays
grace on hopeless bodies.
 Look!! there soon be
change!
