Joshua Yaw Korangeng Poem
He crushed his heart. On hopes flutteringly light as butterfly wings. On dreams foolishly bright as silver bells. On dreams seemingly fine and looking good. He broke his heart. On tales of lust hewn from his faint heart. He banked his faith on the words of a woman. He lost his sight searching into darkness. He thought it wise to love once and never again. Joshua Yaw Korangeng Poem
I find among the simplest
of men,
Geniuses
I find among the
strongest of men,
Weaklings
Bent on the edge
Ready to collapse
We fear within our hearts
That our fears will come
and haunt us
We know within our
souls,
What we need to be,
What we ought to do
But some how,
The spider of fate
Weaves its web
and enslaves us all

Joshua Yaw Korangeng Poem
Do not misunderstand me
Do not be judgemental
I am not aloof
To the things around me
I am not refusing to care
About those you think
care
I am not
Sometimes it is only wise
To live in a Room of
Silence
Where
My shaded thoughts are
drowned
In a memory of myself
Where I can believe in my
self again
There
The fountain of soothing
voices
Are none but my own
And
My heart heals
So that it is not tempted
To hurt you
