To Myself With Love

To myself with love,
Sent on the wings of a dove.
Your eyes sparkle and shine.
If something is out of place, I see not one line.
Your smile, how it glows.
Your hair when the wind blows,
Fills the air with a scent,
It must be heaven sent.
Soft is your skin,
Encompassed with the love from within.
Your heart is so kind,
One sweeter you may not find.
So to you myself,
I give myself, all of myself.
All of my faith, and unconditional love.
I promise never to rise above,
What is real, what is right now.
What is right now?
God, my dear sweet friend,
Always an ear to lend.
When life gets rough,
And talking to myself is not enough.
For this, I would like to thank The Lord above.
Signed, Myself, with love.

Morning Blues

Morning blues,
Morning must dos.
Pay the bills, clean the house
All this work and where's my spouse?
I suppose he is at work too,
Suffering from the morning blues.
"When you get off today, I say.
You'll have a load to put away.
You can start one more
And I'll head to the store.
While I'm gone
You can turn the vacuum on.
There are dishes in the sink,
Sorry the washers got a kink.
Now don't forget to make the bed
And fluff the pillow for my head.
If you think there's nothing more to do,
You're wrong and that’s why they call it the morning blues".

A Fellow Fetching

A little kiss, a little Miss.
All she wanted was a little kiss.
Batting her eyes at all the guys
Laughing and winking as they walked by.
Hoping a strapping young fellow
Would sweep her away in her dress of yellow.
A fair maiden is she
But a far away land was he.
To her mother she began to cry
"Stop that my dear. She said. and keep batting those eyes!"

My Heart

My eyes fill with tears.
Loud sounds drown my ears.
When will you be home?
How long will I be alone?
Might take months even years.
Please sweet Jesus, calm my fears.
I sit scared of the silence,
All the drugs and violence.
When will I take a stand?
Never once offered a hand.
What's done is done,
God did give His only begotten Son
To allow me to be happy and free,
Dying with Him forever be.
I rest now assured
One day, I will have wings like the birds.
Jesus took on the fight,
May prayer be my delight.

Angels Devine

No words can tell
How from Heaven you fell.
A job given to you
A family to make new
 That you did create
Those without cannot relate.
The strength, hope, the love,
There was always love.
Now I am here to write
To thank you for your fight
Thank you for caring
For the joy always sharing
Without you what will I do?
My heart always sad and blue
Peace within my soul
Your voice makes me whole.
The sight of you fills my heart.
Without it, I would fall apart.
I dream you will never go.
Your face I will always know.
Minutes are withering away,
Before long there will come a day,
At rest you will be
With a hole left for me.
So let me ask you
The words "I love you"
What do they really say?
Only to the last day?
No. I will love you until I die.
Until we meet in the sky.
You have always been there
I am here and will always care.
My grandparents you are
Whether near or far
That will never change
Though my life may rearrange.
In my heart you will stay,
Your spirit not far away.
