Angel of Death

Angel of Death,
Cloaked in black.
With black scaled wings,
Upon her back.
Angel of Death,
Coming for me.
As soon as I sleep
Then dead I will be.
Taken by the night
It swallows and consumes me.
Now I am the angel
And death becomes me.

Home Is Where the Ocean Is

Summer is here once again.
The breeze is warm,
I smell salt on the wind.
The same sandy beach between my toes,
The same waters I learned to swim.
Sun burn on my nose,
To the Ocean I dive in.
I submerse myself in the waters of the Atlantic
Warmer than the West Coast Thankfully
Cold, I simply cannot handle it!
Further out I paddle faithfully,
For my mother ocean to keep me sane,
this is my therapy,
to soothe this migraine.
This place gives me energy,
a weakness with a name.
Pleasure Island, NC.
A place hidden with fortunes
and undiscovered fame.
Never could I stray from the ocean
my passions would never be fulfilled
and I would never be the same.

Dedicated to my Dad on Father's Day 2013
The man who introduced me to the ocean and educated me about it and gave me reason to love appreciate and respect it.

Untitled-Free Thoughts-Rap

Oh well here I go again,
wishin for a dream that I could be wrapped in,
entrapped in,
torn away from addiction,
destroy the tele…
vision they strive to force upon you,
its all false but you know I’m true.
They will not protect you when you scream your broken cries,
they are merely evil faces of masked men behind illuminati eyes
with which they hypnotize,
brainwash you with their lies.
I've got those deep thoughts pouring in,
all the roads I've traveled down
conditions I have traveled in
here in my pretty town,
the 910 deserves a crown.
East Coast I'm representing,
I promise you I am not venting.
High on that purple haze,
And still haven't slept for days,
excuse these bloodshot eyes
with a krispy kreme glaze,
some will try to say its just a silly phase...
My mind is so graphic,
use words like special tactics,
unmistakable like D'Jango,
or a peace signs' angle,
destroy the crave for war and struggle,
no need to explain all the trouble,
with places burstin’ into rubble,
Rebel! Rebel! We’ll show ‘em hell!
I’ll be fightin’ when I'm dead,
kick and scream till my blood is shed,
let authorities know the message will be spread!
Put on a show with a little bit of passion
or the bad things will continue to happen.
Get the love through your head,
all this hatred should be dead,
what I'm saying must be said,
before the gauge goes into red.
With vocabulary this brilliant makes a female more vigilant,
like brothers boston what I speak
my words alone will make you weak, make you faint,
Like blood spilled by hands of a vigilante saint,
trust me lifes too short,
you dont have the time my young cohort,
wait until your words make an enemy
cause their threatened by the uncertainty
that you will make it this far
make a point unlike this war
next thing you know you see ‘em sweat
words fresh like paint drippin with purpose,
makin ‘em wet.
I finger paint a master piece with a just simple rhyme,
just don't pull your piece on me just let me speak, my mind,
while I unwind, rewind all this blasphemy,
continential catastrophe,
I may have to beg and plead so that my boys can rest in peace
sorry for the interruption,
don’t blame me for the corruption,
for now I'll put my words at ease,
hope you told someone you loved them today and that it wasn't a white lie,
just a tease.

Time

Minutes pass like the slow falling grains in an hourglass.
Days fade away like the clouds of spring showers in early May.
Time goes on though you may not hear the ticks.
With mysterious design
Time; one of nature’s best tricks.
Some of us move forward,
Others stuck in the past.
Though we must be quick to make a move,
For this moment could be our last.
Seconds waste no time like the beating of my heart.
Hours can seem torturous.
Those who are impatient would rather be torn apart.
Your life may end when expected or suddenly,
But remember time doesn’t stop for you,
Neither will it for me.

Words of Wisdom To the Youth

As tears of strength and courage slip down my face,
I have waited so long for this euphoric embrace.
Through trials and tribulations,
I have kept my head up and marched,
Strived through fearlessly.
Though I walk through the valley of shadows and death,
I shall have no fear.
I know I am meant for more than this.
I strive for perfection,
Which we all know is impossible.
Therefore live life pure and full of bliss.
Be happy,
Take chances,
Fall in love… a few times!
Truly, genuinely learn to appreciate every little thing.
Moments are like shooting stars;
If you don’t keep your head up towards the sky,
You might miss out on the one that will
change
your
life.

Life and It's Constant State

Life and its constant state
With a world trying to survive on passion and love
Some try to force other to believe it is fueled by hate.
What a misconception,
A twisted mind in an unfortunate state.
Having the choice of ignorance could be peaceful;
A way to cope.
Yet the knowledge of the truth in experiments,
Mistakes and living life will bring you wisdom.
No you cant learn the answer to everything
And likely never will.
That is what makes so many things in life as beautiful as they are,
A little bit of mystery leaves the mind to wander off into its own
And truly attempt to make the best of it.

How Do I Love You So

In this wretched and dark place,
it's the only world I can show my face.
Ashamed of my love,
A past full of disgrace.
And yet all I want is to see your face.
But it's something I've longed to
erase.
Why do I love you so?
These crazy feelings they need to go.
You have my heart racing like i need to show,
my love for you but I just really don't know
how I love you so.
It's been a long wild trip,
but this I must rip.
And thats you from my heart
Yea that'd be a better start.
But here comes that thing again
you make me want to sing and then
You see right through me
do you know what you do to me
All these things I've done you see
Fueling my insanity.
Make me want to fall apart,
Spill knowledge from this broken heart.
All I ever wanted was to be set free,
Can you really not see all of what you've done to me?

Beer

These precious
ounces of beer,
To me you are so
dear.
As I reach into your
icy home,
In hand you are with
me,
As I roam.
Either on a city
street,
Or you join me for a
beach retreat.
I pop you open,
You begin to foam.
Ever so enticing,
My thirst is
quenched.
With your crisp,
cool liquid,
My soul is drenched.
Thank you for your
therapy,
But lets not make
haste.
For I will see you
tomorrow,
Same time and place.
