The Picture

For whatever reason, I do not know,
Maybe I was taking a risk,
I displayed your picture in the front row,
Right on the top of my desk.
I must admit it has been awhile,
Longer than I will admit,
Since my eyes stared at your smile,
And my heart feels a little nip.
What an eerie feeling,
To realize and consider
The smile I always loved,
I shall never see thither.
If I stare too long,
Tears start to swell,
The joyfulness leaves me,
(and) I remember the hell.
I guess I should put your picture back,
To where it was hiding,
Tucked beneath the memories,
Where my heart is safely abiding
     Love Mom

Chance Meeting

There she is again, the veiled woman,
There, there, can you see her?
She is staring at me, not looking away.
What should I do, Run, Hide, Be afraid?
Why does she stand and stare?
What is she looking for? I feel it is Me!
I will call out"Leave me alone, you there, do not
stand and stare!"
Now she is Pointing at ME!
Her hand on her Heart!
Oh My, She Knows!
I loved my child and HE IS GONE!

I Sailed Away In a Dream

I sailed away in a dream last night,
But it wasn't on the sea,
I sailed away into the light,
On the path to eternity.
My heart was soaring full of joy,
The wind whipped through my hair,
Excitment filled me,like a new toy,
Hope stilled hope of finding you there.
I can still feel the coolness on my face,
My heart pounding all the while,
I felt your nearness in that place,
And trying to find you made me smile!
Where should I look as I hurried along,
There were so many places?
If I had clue of where you belonged,
I could find you amongst the faces.
But alas, I guess it was not meant to be,
I woke up too soon, my heart skipped a beat,
Now I need wait for the night to be free,
To sail away again ere next time we meet.

Mom

Two years ago today
We said our last goodbyes,
You did not know that you were sick
Nor could you see tears in our eyes.

Though sorrow came and lived its course,
We rose above our mortality,
our hearts tho sad, show no remorse
because we loved you in totality.

Even if we could choose,
In some miraculous way,
To find another Mother…
None would be as fair to us,
Nor loved with so much fervour.

You were honored and adored
A Mom to be proud of for sure.
If we did not know how to please you,
It was our loss and never yours.

We hope you are happy for us too,
As you look down from above.
Lovingly guiding us, your smile beaming,
And missing us with Mothers love
Forever and eternally.
