Witches

Witch, witch, witch
You see them in the streets
You see them in the stores
You see them standing in front doors
Witch, witch, witch
You're mother's a witch
You're sister is too
You're cousin is one
You're brother too, if he's that frufru
Witch, witch, witch
They're in the schools
They're in the town
Witches are all around
Witch, witch, witch
You can call me a witch
Call me what you will
But to you, that's MRS. *****!

The Lightning Struck

The storm was rolling in
The boredom began to stir within
Begging to be set free from the walls that confined them
Two children wanted to brave the storms that were engulfing 'em
Outside they went with all smiles
While playing by a metal can, they could hear the claps of thunders for miles
While talking to her cousin on this night
A bolt of lightning came down which gave the children an awful fright
The bolt cracked and jumped from car to fence to phone line to metal can to mouth
The children turned pale as their blood ran south
Screaming the boy ran in first
While leaving the girl to fight to open the door, that was the worst
For the boy was holding the door shut
Which made the girl think the door was stuck
Off to the hospital they tore
No more playing in the storm they swore
The doctor checked them both and found a hue
For the little girl, her tongue was blue
Trying to explain
That she was talking in the rain
The doctor chuckled as he asked, "Did it taste like bacon?"
With tears rolling down her face, she answered, "No like chicken."

If Ever

If ever words were spoken
They weren't spoken loud enough.
If ever tears were cried
They weren't cried hard enough.
If ever hearts were broken
They weren't shattered enough.
If ever love was said
It wasn't said enough.
Today our words will be loud, our tears will flow, our hearts will burst, and our love will show.

Typewriter

Click, click, click.
There it goes again.
That horrid tick.
It's louder than the rain.
Here I sit by the fire
Hoping to enjoy a good book.
But no, she feels the need to inspire
With words of wisdom and strategic rooks.
Zip, the sound of the paper being pulled out, bounces down the hall.
Click, click, click. Caching.
I wish that roller would come loose and fall.
Ow, my head is aching.
Silence! Is she done? Can I blink?
No, she threw the paper in the waste bin, which made a loud thud.
That thing is so loud I can't hear myself think.
Oh, how I just want to throw it in the mud.

What To Say

What's there to say about Maxine...
She was a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a mother, and a grandmother.
The younger generation may not know how she was when she grew up, but those are memories our parents and brothers have to share.
The other years during her struggles into the medical field and years after are the memories for the younger generation.
We all have our special moment with Maxine, those are what we need to keep close to us and in our hearts.
She may have had her moments when she drove us crazy and we wanted to scream, but those times will soon fade away and all that's left will be the good times we share.
Maxine may not be here physically with us, but she's imprinted in our hearts and will live on in our memories.
She's not gone and when it is our time to pass from this world, she'll be waiting to greet us with a smile.
So as we say goodbye to her lets try not to cry to hard but to be happy for her because that's what she will want us to do.

We'Ll See You Again

You'll always be a part of us.
We will always have your strength when we need it most.
You're gone but not forgotten.
We can't say this to your face but we know you hear.
We will see you again.
You never really left, we feel you walk beside us.
We know we'll see you again.
When we're lost and missing you like crazy, we'll tell ourselves that we were so blessed to have had you in our lives.
When we had the time to tell you, we never thought the words we should have said would haunt us.
In our darkest hour, we tell ourselves we will see you again.
We miss you like crazy.
This is not good-bye.
Someday, we will see you again.

Loretta Devil ---- to the tune of Cruella Devil

Loretta Devil
Loretta Devil
She thinks she's queen of the hill
When she's hitting that herb at will
The smack of her lips, the glaze in her stare
All the people beware
She's like a star with no skill
Watch out for Loretta Devil
At first you think she's deranged
But then you smell that skunk on the range
And realize her eyes are so red
Nothing makes since in the things that she said
She thinks her singing is surreal
But it's nothing but shrill
She's having the time of her life
Dancing with her pink pinguins all high
She was a wholesome lady
Until she got on that green lady
Poor Loretta
Loretta Devil
