Blended Family Recipe

Put a man who is wholesome
into a mixing pan.
Combine one loving woman
and blend well with the man.

Add the children of the man,
and the woman’s children too.
Mix them all together
as you would a pot of stew.

You’ll want to add some patience.
It will help the taste a lot.
If you’re not sure how much,
just throw in all you’ve got.

Then, six cups of sweetener
and fourteen cups of love.
Sprinkle in some blessings
from the heavens high above.

When the mixture is complete
with great joy you will see,
the creation of an awesome,
loving blended family.

The Greatest Parents On Earth

I will never take for granted
how greatly I've been blessed;
For when it comes to parents,
Mom and Dad, you are the best!.

You nurtured and protected me
and taught me with great care.
And every time I’ve needed you,
you were always there.

If you could look into my heart
how quickly you would see,
the special place you hold there,
and how much you mean to me.

May you receive the blessings
you are so deserving of
for your caring, and your sharing,
and each sacrifice of love.

And may you carry in your hearts
these words forever true…
No parents anywhere on earth
could be more loved than you.

The Cross

(If displayed properly, this poem is in the shape of a cross.)

The cross is as an emblem
of my love, pure and true,
                    and serves as a reminder
                    of my suffering for you.

For it was on a wooden cross I was nailed and lifted up.
And because of my great love for you, I drank the bitter cup.
The mind cannot perceive, and there are no words to tell,
the greatness of My pain as that hammer struck each nail.
I hung and died there on that cross, to ransom you from sin,
that when your life is over, heavens gate may bid you in.

Let not what I have suffered
                     be forgotten, or for naught,
                     but remember why I came
                     and remember all I taught.

Live each day in such a way
that all who know you see,
                     a kind and grateful Christian
who loves, and lives, for Me.

You are precious in my sight.
I saved your soul from loss.
So think how great My love
every time you see a cross.

Christmas With Christ

Merry Christmas up in heaven.
How special it must be,
to celebrate our Savior’s birth
with Him there personally.

I’ll bet there is no Santa Claus,
or stories of reindeer,
but angel’s joyfully singing
about Christ as He stands near.

I miss you most at Christmas time
and know you miss me too.
The Holidays are lonely
and I long to be with you.

But I know the time will time
when we're together again.
I Patiently await that day.
Merry Christmas until then.

Angel's Lullaby

If somewhere there in heaven
there’s an angel who is free,
please have her rock my baby
with a lullaby for me.

When my child’s sleepy eyes
drift off in peaceful sleep,
place a little kiss for me
so gently on her cheek.

Then take her baby blanket,
with it’s strands of woven gold,
and cover up her little toes
just in case they’re cold.

Whisper softly in her ear,
as she’s dreaming there above,
and let her know her momma
and her daddy send our love.
