Graduation

Here we are at the end of a trail
We took some wrong turns but were able to find the path again
Echoing behind us in our memories are our achievements
And our disappointments
We laughed with our peers since grade school til' now
Fights started and ended between friends and foes
Everyone mourned the loss of classmates that were taken away
And together we all encouraged the representatives of our school
For these last four years we tried our best
But not all the time
Now graduation is here
The time to say goodbye is near
Together with our futures uncertain
We step off the trail and begin to pave a new road

Why Does Mother Nature Shed Her Tears?

I watch as Mother nature sheds her tears
I think and wonder why?
Why does Mother nature shed her tears?
Is it for how we treat her gifts to us?
How we murder that which is not ours' to kill
Is it for the poisons we feed her?
The air that is polluted by our carelessness
Is it for the emptiness she feels?
The trees that were plenty, but now few
I watch as Mother nature sheds her tears.
I think and wonder why?

Day Awakening

The day awakes,
as night breaks,
The dew drys,
with the sun's rise
Flowers open wide,
the scents collide,
The birds sing,
butterflies flap their wings,
The wind blows,
welcoming all hello.

Walking

In the forest I walk
Alone and secluded
The wind my only companion

I follow a stream
Calm and steady
Just like a beating heart

In the trees birds sing
Sweet and melodic
Happiness in their sound

I cross a small bridge
Wooden and arched
Fairytales come back to me

Up ahead is a village
Rural and charming
The place I call home

This Is My Place

This is my place

This is my place
Where I sleep
To escape
Life

This is my place
Where I study
For school
Daily

This is my place
Where I play
With friends
Often

This is my place
Where I write
My thoughts

This is my place
Where I cry
My tears
Quietly

This is my place
Where I laugh
At jokes
Hysterically

This is my place
Where I plan
My life
Conscientiously

This is my place

How Can We Win

How can we win
when all hope is lost?

 How can we win
when all faith is gone?

 How can we win
when love leaves?

 How can we win
when our trust is betrayed?

 How can we win
when our secrets are told?

 How can we win
when our lives become lies?

Do They Know

They think they know me,
But can they really see?

Can they see the desperation,
Gleaming in my brown eyes?

Can they hear the sadness,
Every time I say something?

Do they know my smile,
That is always quickly forced?

Do they know my friends,
Who don't always seem kind?

How can they know me,
When I don't know me?

Lost

I am Lost...

No one can ever find me.

I'm in a place no one can go.

There is no future for me.

I am Lost...

I will never be known again.

Secluded from all that I once loved.

My life forever is now empty.

I am Lost...

Cut off from all I knew.

In a place without thoughts or emotions.

Unable to be what I was.

I am Lost...

Now Broken

Once a trusting soul
Now broken
Betrayal just the start
Lies to follow

Once an open heart
Now Broken
Lost is her innocence
Taken without consent

Her spirit was carefree
Now Broken
Life dragged her through
With no remorse
