Stone In Your Shoe

There’s a stone in your shoe!
You smile but half smile,
You walk, but feel pain.
You try to dance, but can’t!
You try to sing, but stammer!
You try to shake it out,
But that tiny little stone remains.
A never ending reminder
That you will never dance with all you heart,
Or laugh with all you soul,
Or sing without your stammer.
You will never relax in conversation
‘Til you choose to physically remove that stone!
When then and only then...
Could you dance with all your heart,
Laugh with all your soul,
And sing without your stammer.
With only the distant memory of your discomforting pain.
Only an uncomfortable memory
From which you can finally find your present peace and comfort.

Questioning Life

Forget! Regret not, for it all has intention...
To attempt comprehension leads to double block wall.
In searching your question, much more loss is gotten,
Confusion, dismay a deeper dug hole.
Infinitely seeking you strive for some meaning,
the truth is quite simple you are not sole at all!
Infusion connection the union eternal,
Is easy to grasp when knowledge of whole,
is truly encountered from deep within query
The meaning the truth the love of it all...
Once trouble & strife and struggle are missing,
The clear light of being shows beauty once more.
Accept what is given agree to the treaty.
Fight not with your fears, and answer your call.
Find substance in living, step over delusions.
Regardless of meaning, life’s radiance will soar.
So use this awareness these words and this practice,
Come forth tall and sturdy, head high and recall..
When sad and when empty in need of intention,
No doubts I plead! No need to explore!
Emotions you hold are sensed by your siblings,
Your waves of sensation your truth and your soul...
Are parts of us all, we are all together we are all but one!
In oneness we’re whole!

The Fight

Most people know not true struggle,
Most pass through some short lived fight.
Experiencing dire, maybe a few times only,
Could make one stronger…
Yet endless battle, does not ignite power
But shatters a creature
‘til true essence of core is recognized.

Senses

You have fought, and been broken, now time to let go…
The hardship, the worry, the pain & dismay
Open eyed clear surrounds.
Look!
Breathe in rainbows
Open eyed feel cool wind.
Scent of leaves, soil, water,
Penetrating molecules with gifts of being
“Tranquil, dear heart”
Accept though it’s finite… Accept that it is!
You are!
Feel again, and you will feel again.

Sea Bird

Through skies I soar free,
Open winged roller coaster.
There, bait I see!
One last turn,
Lightning bolt down...
Splash!
Ocean cold with bait in mouth
Quick out this trap,
Lest predators attack!
Back up full throttle… Forte!
Swish out safely…

The Cry

Why do tears caress your soft face so frequently?
Why is it that when you cry and let out a large scream,
Which resonates from deep in your heart do you feel relief?
Why can you not find the arms of a mother or a lover who can give you the same relief as that scream? Where you born to wonder alone?
A lone being that has given all
Only to find that you have given a little too much and are now left bare.
No-one had requested that you commit to such a feat;
No-one had expected you to give it all
How can you not blame yourself when you find that you have nothing left?
When you find that all has been given and no-one is willing to share?

The cry is God given
When a child cries their protector responds and tries to put right.
The cry is not to be left unattended.
When you become of age however your protectors’ take on different forms,
A mother becomes a lover
And your tears are now for yourself.
Where are your protectors?
You frantically search for them but only find mocking…
You are of age now and your cries will be left unattended.

Tiresome

How is it, that such a young soul can feel so old?
Why is it that a person in their prime feels so tired?
Could there be a kind one out there who can help you out of this choke hold.
Help you wake in the morning and grace you with the ability to live.
Why is it, that such a young soul feels so old?

“Please God have mercy on my soul!”
“Please God save me from myself and give me strength!”
Again you pray but an insufficient prayer.
You fool!
Stand up tall!
Only you have control!
But it is that which worries you…
Only you have control…
Your hands shake from the thought that only you have control.

Must Try

Breathing in, no breath is felt
Blackness engulfed again I wept
Struggle forth the effort unwanted
I cry, I cry, I cry
Must die, must die, must die

Waves crash against body, pain
Rock Rain forcing head to bow
Smashing hard against the ground
I cry, I cry, I cry
Must die, must die, must die

But love too profound for those around
Reaching up for the clouds
Try to touch the condensation
Can’t die, can’t die, can’t die
Won’t cry, won’t cry, won’t cry

In love for him for her for them
Selfish thinking set asunder
Open curtains let in light
Shall try, shall try, shall try
Won’t die, won’t die, won’t die

Greying Hair

Once glistening strands of shiny gold
Curling in connection
Seamless waves of silky smooth
Now lines of white infected
Bristled dry madness
Strings snapping at their centers
Oil applied to try to try!
And slow down this infection

Fractured

“Fight for yourself!” you plead with your mind.
“Fight you unworthy creature!”
When had you vanished?
Pick up your pieces
Scattered through-out time,
Over the years.
Mosaic fragments back into yourself,
Vigilantly, filling your hollowed soul.
You dare not stand against the light
That people might see beams passing through cracks!
Shining through holes you scraped in your being.
You dare not stand against the light
That they might recognize you damaged
Damaged by your will!
So you pretend…
You play to be whole.
If only that strength was to rectify yourself.
You do have the strength if you can pretend.
