Enmeshed Heart

Transfixed
Exasperated
Unsure

Motives, dreams
changing, slipping
controlled passion
over whelming desires;

Intricate heart schemes
Thrown like a dice
Turn up love buds
growing obstinately
amidst thorns

Delicate and alluring colours
white, pink, blue
Thrilling the soul.

The Queen

In lemon and green
She stood
Wide eyes with red lustrous lips,

Carved brows like the African bow
Stately like a giraffe.

All eyes moved as one
To behold the queen
In lemon and green.

At Dawn

The dawn broke
with thoughts
raging furiously
insisting on response
capturing my being
now a prisoner
with no escape route
an accessory before and after the fact
plead I for freedom to engage the heart
on its destined course.
