Sea of Dreams

She drifted on black starlit glass
beneath the full moon bright
captivated by the beauty of
the tranquil, lovely light
floating on the gentle waves
the stars kissed her goodnight
and rocked into her deepest dreams
she floated out of sight

Raindrops Version One

Raindrops,
iridescent,
light and pure as petals
echo sweet, seraphic music
tranquil...

Darkness Sleeps

Single file in a row
bare feet freezing in the snow
in a pile, bodies burn
all wait fearfully for their turn
ash and smoke clog the air
ringing with screams of despair
moving closer to their end
their minds begin to slowly bend
the snow is stained with crimson red
drinking in the blood they've shed
in the trees, starved ravens wait
to feed on those who've met their fate
more bodies burn, the bells tolls on
the moon reveals a scarlet dawn
as all the corpses burn in heaps
just for now, the darkness sleeps

Sunrise and Soul

Darkness fades away
Vibrant with life and color
Sunrise fills my soul

The Vacancy

Slowly my world shatters
Unravelling all around me
Inside my heart is
Cold, empty, broken
I have fallen apart completely
Drowning in the waves of sorrow
Everything I once was is swept away

The Stars Reflection

He sat there on the edge
of the rocks above the shore
lost there in his thoughts
like many times before
he noticed how the water
seemed to glow with life
and for a couple moments he
forgot about his strife
the light came from the moon
high up in the sky
and he longed to be among the stars
but had no wings to fly
so he climbed down from the rocks
and waded past the shore
he drifted away on the stars reflection
with a heavy heart no more

October Fire

Dancing smoke
black as night
floats above flames
burning bright
twisting wind
spreads the fire
fueling life
to dark desire
the nights are dark
with moonless skies
shadows see all
with empty eyes
fallen leaves
make trees bare
the flame still burns
but the heats not there
blazing touch
meets hearts of frost
the burn feels sweet
but then it's lost
now hands of ash
reach out once more
for October Fire
as they did before

The Mirror Realm

Far away where crystal waters
Gently ebb and flows
Where in the Hidden Gardens
The Tiger Lily grows
Where the seeping night
Paints across the day
And the pale moonlight
Burns the sun away
Where the Raven speaks
In riddle and in rhyme
And the clock is frozen
For there's not such thing as time
Where the ground is a chessboard
With squares of black and red
And there is a mad gentleman
A hat upside down upon his head
Where the Ivory Tower
Is lost in vines and trees
And in the green lush forest
Theres voices on the breeze
Where the gentle raindrops
Form liquid pools of glass
I'll be lying on the riverbank
Stargazing in the grass
So far away where crystal water
Gently ebbs and flows
Where in the Hidden Gardens
The Tiger Lily grows...

Typical Rainy Day

The firelight glows orange
the sky is a dark grey
just another typical
relaxing rainy day
droplets pitter patter
on the windows glass
the only sound to be heard
as I watch the hours pass
wrapped in cozy blankets
is how those days are spent
with my poetry before me
you'll find I am content
caught up in my writing
with steaming soup on hand
and wrapped up warm and cozy
those rainy days are grand
the firelight glows orange
the sky is a dark grey
just another typical
relaxing rainy day

Rainfall Sanctuary

A pale grey sky
lush green forest
the rain falls soft and fast
pattering on leaves and rocks
birdsong echoes sweetly
the air is cool and light
peaceful, timeless
sanctuary
