Beautiful Woman

I am a voice,generations later
Who will shed the image sown
You will not paint my picture
I will not be taken down
I won't play your fiction stories
I am not what you percieve
Do not give the world a handbook
Do not tell them what to see

Staring me down,seeking errors
Not your barbie,not your show
I'm woman in every sense of the word
Human being and you will know
You force our men to fear us
And leave us without love
And encourage women to hate us
Making them feel they are not enough

You tell us lies, and some believe
And so they walk in irking shame
You're insecure and childish
And so you have created a game
I'm strong and bold and fierce
I scare you,I don't fold like paper
So step aside and watch me be
Say I'm least,I'll prove I'm greater

Don't use a face to judge a heart
We're made the same of flesh and blood
The most obsurd of streotypes
A thing that tears this world apart
I do not wish to cause offense
This is not a war,it is a plea
I tire and sore of self defense
I just want a shot at being me

The Dream

The dream that was asleep
Has risen from its slumber
Was shy and ever so silent
Is back and loud as thunder

Standing tall,stepping firm
Holding strong,is my choice
Purposeful and resonant
You can't resist,so hear my voice

Here and now,with strong intent
Pledging to take my place
I'm on a journey,to the stars
So don't forget my face

As certain and inevitable
As flowers bloom and sunlight gleams
Shine I must,and come true
Because I am that dream

Mother

She spoke with hate, and screamed at us
I wanted to hide and cry sometimes.
And after work, when she came home
She would always disturb our night.
I think she's nuts,her actions spoke
I don't know how I stayed so strong.
I was the main, focus of her hate
She made me feel I didn't belong.
She wiped my smiles, and hated my friends
I wonder much,but couldn't find why.
My laughter made her storms arise
Her garden bloomed if I should cry.

There was no refuge, no chance to complain
The adults say "you need corrections".
But how do you, escape Cruela de vil,
Without the label as a child delinquent?
What was her motive,to drive me mad?
She was angry, when I made her proud
She'd strive so hard, to tear me down
I could smell her raging thoughts aloud
She comes to where, I now call home
I ask her"Mother why do u hate me so"
After her usual attempt to convince me I was mad,
She gave an unaccepted sorry, and said,"I don't know".

Deafening Silence

It's here,it's everywhere

Fogging up the place
Crowding up my space
Echoing in my mind
lengthening the time

What's here,nothing only

#So lonely

Humanity

I am not a perfect being,
But still I try,at times or do I,enough?
But when I do,it seems so tough.
For goodness,a great responsibility,
A perpetual duty.
Comes discipline,work and dedication
Some kind of education.
As to how to perform that task,
Questions asked?.
Fingers pointed,but in reality,
We all fall short, the puzzle pieces of humanity
There must be a way,
Maybe if we pray.
And finally compromise
Find a balance for each one's life
Instead of criticizing,
We start realizing.
Let's find our unique plans,
To become better Humans.

A Poem For My Love

You, have the sweetest touch
Softest Lips and deepest love
Of You I just can't get enough
You healed my wounds and build me up

Memories of us stays with me
The way you smile, the way you breathe
Your humor,frown,kindness,laugh
I close my eyes and make it last

You go I know you have to leave
It never changes how I feel
Pictures,calls,text all I need
I'll wait till you come back to me

I love the photos of you @ camp
I smile and say "My Soldier Man"
I melt when you tell me, I'm the one
You gave me hope when there was non

Sometimes I'm scared that you will go
And take away the only love I know
I hope that what we have will grow
Cause Todd I really love you so
