If I Were a Pelican

if i were a pelican
i'd soar in the sky.
i'd feel like a queen
and watch the day goes by.
i'll go on adventures
and make new friends.
i'd sit by the sunset and watch how it ends.
i'd catch fishes and swim in the sea.
i'd give jokes to the dolphins and they'll giggle with me.
i'd be the greatest pelican that ever lived.
and for those who envy "WELL I NUH GIVE"

the last part of the poem was written in creole my belizean language

Bit By Bit

only fifteen years old and i'm dying from the inside.
Not knowing what to do, or where to continue.
feeling deprived from my own life,
feeling the worries tingling in my body.
haven't slept for days, haven't had a good meal,
haven't had any giggles since last month.

I'm too weak, bit by bit my strength
dies out...
Bit by bit i see myself in a casket.
mother and father wouldn't even take
a second to ask me how I'm doing,
Instead they'll just ignore and walk away.

I have no one, NO ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
just myself xena.
I have no reflection, no hope, no future
just a horrible thing called lonliness.

I Want To Come Home

Take me home
I want to sleep
shut my eyes and
let me dream.
Leave me in peace
for I'll be no more.
I'll enjoy this eternal slumber
as the years pass and go.

Oh lord make me an angel,
a guardian of light.
Let me destroy the demons of night.
Carry my soul to the mansion above.
Introduce me to those
whom I once lost and loved.

This world is a burden where wickedness
lies.
I want to come home father so please
let me die.

Love Is Like

Love is like a mighty river that can
never be controlled.
Love is like a blanket that warms
you when your cold.

love is like a symphnay harmonizing
through the air.
love is like a fragile kiss
for anyone to share.

love is like the twinkling stars dancing in the
sky.
love is like a gentle stream
gaily flowing by.

love is all these things surely
a dream come true.
love is like a promise,
so remember I LOVE YOU.

Sealed Love

look, look at how he moves
how his eyes seduces me
how his lips controls me
how he slide his fingers through his night dark hair
Oh what so perfect could there ever live?
My heart bloosoms with love.
my heart is ready to explode.
This passion i have retained is now begging me to be unleashed
I love him but yet i am too scared of what the outcome
might be.
what if i told him about my emotions? WOULD HE LOVE ME BACK? or
what if i ran across the earth just to be in his arms? WOULD HE THINK I AM BEAUTIFUL?
i don't know what to do.... should i confess or must i confess before the hourglass runs up...
My lips have been sealed for too long, the truth longs to breathe.

World Gone Dead

Drugs abuse,
being refused,
molested by eight
raised up with hate.

Alone by age twelve
cutting myself.
scorned and mistreated
threatened and beaten.

Life filled with drama,
mind in a trauma,
used by men,
sorrows never end.

Depression that haunts
suicide that taunts.
gun to my head.
world gone dead.

Let It End

My sun is hidding in the dark
the wonderful things in life I no longer lark
i have been wrapped around in a cloth
of confusion.
Denying mistakes,
Living in illusion.
Ala's i stand alone to battle my own fear,
to face other hypocrits and the one's i thought
who cared.
surrounded in an evil, ungrateful society
when being classed as neggativety.
to others am a joke, an idiot, a disgrace.
i am not even worthy to show my face.
I am not capable of reaching hopes and
dreams.
I'm just a stupid child who can't do anything.
Please! quit judging me, quit hating me, quit
making me feel like dirt.
Your words are like swords,
they kill and they hurt.
When will this nightmare be over?
when will it end?
I'm ineed of someone, a mother, a father, a sister
A FRIEND.
