Diana Briand Poem
My little treasure with such large and needy glistening eyes
She has an angelic face so soft her rosy cheeks do beam
She is short of stature though within her she encases a large loving heart
She doesn’t ask for the world just that I am a part of it
I held her only briefly too short a time for such an abundance of love to share
She asks nothing impossible of me only to be held and loved
Sadly abandoned by those she trusted and loved so dear
Her eyes so deep and yearning as if to beg me to steal her away
So far away where hurt and pain dare not follow
So far into the quiet solace of her little dreams
My little treasure so young and fragile she is
I feel her slipping away can I save her from where she hides
Can I help her find her way to the paradise she needs
Much pain in her sweet little face I can barely glance
I pray I can save her from this cage that is her little life
In death I lost my own little treasure so many years ago
My granddaughter needs that love I saved and buried so deep inside
A love that stands the test of time never to depart
I pray now for solace and wisdom from my grand creator
Great courage and strength I pray will lead me in this journey

Diana Briand Poem
I felt her movements, I felt her life
In my life then, I had much strife
I loved my little child so deep inside
She would be my joy, my true pride
Then one day I felt her great pain
I knew my life would never be the same
I did not hold her or see her sweet face
My life sas so sad so out of place
Then her breathe ceased to be
I wanted to run I wanted to flee
I wanted her to live and grow
I wanted her God in heaven to know
I wanted her to be like me
Loving flowers, trees and the blue sea
Now in God I seek solace from my sorrow
For I know he promises a better tomorrow
A world without fears
A world without tears
God has helped me to endure
Of this you can be firm and sure
My unforgotten child she will remain
I know that God will my strength sustain

Diana Briand Poem
Eyes that blink and flash so bright
Can see whats there at dark of night
Eyes that catch life in a flash
A families love or waters splash
When all has changed or gone away
Leaves what will forever stay

Diana Briand Poem
Today the clouds may be oh so heavy
Raise your head high be strong and steady
Though tears may flow every now and then
Soon it will be and you will know when
The sun will shine and dark fades away
Then too you'll see a bright new day

Diana Briand Poem
They twinkle so bright late into the night
Guide sea fairing men like a blazing light
For centuries man has stopped to admire
The breathtaking glimmer, a streak on fire
Though one may try to keep a count
Their numbers seem to continue to mount
They seem to lift ones spirits high
Wondrous lights that dot the evening sky
Glow and shimmer they beckon us near
Though man can visit their atmosphere
Try as he may to catch the lights
They run to be free they take to flight
So let us admire them from afar
It twinkles and glows a beautiful star

Diana Briand Poem
If I could see through the gaze of a bird
I would view beauty I've only just heard
What do they see as they soar so high
The mountains, rivers, the wonderous blue sky
Their majesty speaks without saying a word
Oh to see through the gaze of a bird

Diana Briand Poem
Windows of the soul they say
Not formed from simple molding clay
They see the world in which we live
Tell a story and love they give
Gaze at you with joy and bliss
Or that you will be sadly missed
Brown, blue and glassy green
The most beautiful gift I’ve ever seen

Diana Briand Poem
Wings like silk and velvet too
Colors like purple and blue so true
Flutter about without a care
Halt their path we would not dare
Here but for a moment and then be missed
Please ask yourself what beauty is this

Diana Briand Poem
Nights Grandeur
A great beauty in Nights Grandeur the many lights that guide our way
The night skies are a calming delight to my worn senses
I seek solace in the darkened skies lit by the splendor of the stars
Peace envelops deep into my very being in the cool night
My heart continues to urn to break free and be whisked away
