Cry of the Wolf

Boisterous wind full the earth
The moon rises like a giant pearl
Against a wall of black satin
How harsh this callous world can be
Noises of small creatures making this
Ancient world seem not so cruel

Green eyes full of emotion and fear
 Hunting and being hunted
Beasts with a song like a dirge
Filled with pain and enigma of life
The weeping soul of odious poignancy
Untamed life of the meek wolf

Let them live in peace for tonight
The sun bringing them an aurora
Of colors into the lonely sky
The ending of an old night and
The beginning of a new day
Here they walk the walk of life

Song of the Dolphin

A world enchanted with blue and green
Secrets that are untold by human eyes
A place where some relics can never be found

Soft voices flowing through an Orphic world
 Moving along great ocean currents
The song of a dolphin that never ends
 Creatures of amity and peace

Eyes that show only perfect love and care
Love deeper than any known ocean
A spirit that lives in all tranquility
Sharing their love with a peaceful song

 Tenderness of creatures so gentle
That it can never be forsaken
 Like dream of dolphins sleeping
In a world enclosed by water

The Owl

Deep large eyes staring down
Gracious but ghostly in many ways
Turn it's Head 'What does it see?'
Very careful watching me

Beautiful song that brings fear
For those who love old lady tales
Of what your voice may bring
Sad Omen so very unfound

Like an Arch Angel spreading wings
With such eminence, power and grace
Majestic bird taking it's flight
Into the black dark night

Single Yellow Orchid

Silver box filled with madrigals
Winter song upon her heart
One single Orchid in her hand
Flower of bitter sadness
Panting for what is lost

Eyes blind in the darkness
Seeing what is left of love
Softly whispering his name
Reaching out for bitter sweet memories
Embittering herself for this pain

A sunset that she missed
Candle light now her company
They chattered before she left
The yellow Orchid on a grave
Untimely death of tender love

Desert Heat

The hot sizzling sun glowing down on the earth
The ground scorched for hundreds of years
Unbearable heat growing as the day grows older
Like a lake of fire the heat never ends

A Cicada singing it’s monotonous song
The shrilling sound invading your thoughts
Hypnotizing your body and mind till the
Only thing you can hear is its voice

The heat changing your visions
From the open desert plain into
An oasis protecting you from the sun
A haven for those who thirst cool water

The Old Man

Crooked like an old olive tree
 Heavy from the many years
Years of wisdom gathered onto his back
Knowledge of what life can bring

Age old sadness in those eyes
 Weathered by life's demise
Beauty in such a leathery face
 World seen by human eyes

Fragile bones balanced on a shaky hand
With fingers like a mangrove tree
A walking stick now his best friend
One that he'll keep to the very end

A croaky voice yet so sweet
 Painting picture of youthful days
 Feeling now like ancient ways
Will he's life footprints forever keep

Will memories of him fade just like
 the sunset life has planned
Hoping his eyes will see another dawn
How feeble life, like a breath of wind

A Long Walk Home

As stranger to all he was known
A man with a hidden past
 A long walk home

 He traveled many a mile
 A rugged man he became

 Across the land he wondered
Searching for his soul to find
 Forgetting his very own name
 Only companion his thoughts

 Witness to a tender sight
 a Father and son Moment
 Taking his heart back
 to where he belongs

 Without his old troubles
It's time for him to go home
 Follow the train tracks
 into the glowing light

 With awareness he conceives
 The roads that he traveled
 Was nothing more
 Then a long walk home

Resting Place of Mary Jane

Mary Jane was barely sixteen
When they locked her away
For talking very strangely
They readily declared that
she had lost her mind
This so called safe keeping place
Turned into her secret grave
Ninety seven years ago
This sad tale played out
Yet this sixteen year old child
still sadly roams in this place
This dark dreaded asylum
still hears her wailing voice
In the silence of the night
You might still catch her sight
Moving from room to room
Lost in an asylum of
Quantum and space

War of a Thunderstorm

Riotous winds rise from the north
Hollowing like a warrior's death cry
These winds causes a holocaust
As it races to a destination of nowhere

Deep dark clouds carried by winds
Filling the sky with the look
Of crude and immense power
Bringing the war of a thunderstorm

Thunder filling the air with a roaring rage
Like the drums of a war march
Electrifying the sky and earth
With the feeling of war and death

Lightning crashes down to earth
Like a raging fire striking out of heaven
Brought by God of anger to curse
The earth for the power of destruction

A Moment In Death

Crimson life fills my hands
Glacial eyes staring at me
Fear grips my desperate heart
Pleading for a stranger's life
Bleeding out her very soul
A single teardrop from her eye
The sign that angels took her Home
