Yoruba

Brobdingnagian people of wealth
Possessing sinewy warriors of health
Brawny nature makes empires shiver
City wall stronger more than ever.

The people of great black magic
Though they are meek
Gallant like the pride of barbados
They brought glory to us.

Their food, culture, tradition and music
Known all over the world like Sikh
Great Empire Dynasties of Oyo, Ibadan, Ife, Owu and Ogbomoso.

Source of great writers to Nigeria
Whose work are publish around the world in various media
Salute to the shrewd people
Of the South-West Pole

Imitator of Perpetrator

Malefactor of our mighty land
Guile do they practice from them, beat
Skank do they drop on our prior rand

Their soul's the people reprimand
Like flies rejecting a rust feet
Malefactor of our mighty land

Drive them from our inunct land
Like Fulani cattle being hit
Skank do they drop on our prior rand

Sweep out before broth turns our hand
Like cobwebs cleaned out of room neat
Malefactor of our mighty land

Their tongue festooned with sweet canard
Embellished with tear thorns their teeth
Skank do they dump on our prior rand

When they continue being rotund
We the citizens turns unfit
Malefactor of our mighty land
Skank do they dump on our prior rand

Vengeance

Retaliation must I take to the brim
Like red hot squash dripping from my cold heart
The flashback fills my face with a cruel beam
Like a goatee man in an archaic art
Delirium state sequels squalid motives
My military bayonet plunge deep
A soldier on a foe battering his heads
A sudden freckle of satiation read
Vengeance must I take to relieve my hate
Like a close buddy on a long voyage
Successful must I land before I'm late
To use my bazooka before old age
Here I am hovering like a bat through land
Searching for my brother's murderer to end

Love Goes In There Fine

Love is what makes the Earth be
Love makes the two waring states live
Love is what makes my mum bore me
Don't hate love because it makes the cruelest the kindest
Love liveth to conquer deception
Love goes in there fine, I tell you
For making all these come to be
And it gives my family a perpetual smile

Wole Soyinka

Covered with prowess
Like mushrooms on a rock
Afraid not to speak
And spit-spat on the demon's face
A man as a battalion
In war with the rotten maggot
A man of great intellect
Thrown into the dark silent cage
Like a snake isolated
A man challenged to death by death
But break it's back, death
Ne-gust Nagast of the black lands
Bayonet for the oppressor's heart
The dictator's foe
Literary works like bullets to their stomach
A pin to the dog's tongue pouting
The first man ever
To be festooned pimento
Pursued by death closely
But Nadelo came to his rescue
A man with epaulette
Oloye of Egbaland
My hand raise to my kepi
Like a python ready to strike
I salute!

Death In the World

Weeping the eyes out everyday
Wailing in every house all night
When will these have to stop?
What is so powerful
That even the king fear?
Anonymous creature
Breaking the lion hearts
O you taker of life!
What err has been done to you
For us to deserve these incongruities
Incognito serpent you are
Fiercer than privation
Penury is incomparable
This must really be our fate!

Death In the World 2

What is fate?
Fate is Death
What is Death?
Death it is that makes the poor suffer no more
Death the incorruptible judge
That takes not bribe from decayed judges
The gentle pitiless creature
That have no concern for the frail mother nor the weary father
The soldiers on the battle field can't escape it
It batter young and old like boot to ant
Wherever you hear weeping wailing women
Don't forget a thing
It's the visitation of the uninvited guest
DEATH!
