It's Lunch

Giant gator grabbing
Convulsing, chunks crashing
twisting, twirling, thrashing
muskrat mammal munched.

Alli Attacks

Alligator attacks prey
Lunges out of the bayou
Loud head slap
Intense jaw clamps down
Gripping death roll
Another muskrat say good bye
Tail spin immobolized
On it's way down
River bottom cries.

Secret Santa

Crisp air
snuggling into my scarf
shuffling through the snow
off to get the mail i go

As i flip through the Christmas cards
I notice there is one from Santa.
Oh how excited the boys will be
to see that Santa has sent a letter to me.

I tell the boys "see Santa's been watching."
Asking "do you think you've been naughty or nice?"
Oh how they want to see
but i say "this letter is addressed to me."

All day my little drummer boys played
Listening like angels; no fighting
Ate their vegies, brushed their teeth
Hoping just to get one peek.

Tucked in and ready for sleep
"Please mom just one peek" they squeeked
As I kissed them on cheek
"Maybe tomorrow now go to sleep."

As i lay in bed, ready to call it a day
I open the letter from my Secret Santa an read
Tears streaming down my face
Help from another that i do not know
3 gift cards fell into my hands
They have thought of everything
toys for boys, food for mouths and clothes for all of us.
Our Secret Santa has blessed all us.
Asking for nothing, just lending a hand

Always give when you can

Alligators bellowing chorous dance.
Eerie freshwater gator holes.
Intense jaws, killer lizard-like.
Marshes nest offspring, population quickly rebounds.

Underwater vegitation. Wetlands xylem.

My Boys

As a mom i will always be there for them, day or night
Blessed to be their mom, i wouldn't have it any other way
Caring for my boys has been the best part of my life
Deciding along the way when to let go, little by little, dreading the day they walk out into the world on their own
Everyday watching them change, evolve into the great young men they are today
From the moment conceived until the day i die they will always be my boys
God has trusted me with their lives, nurturing them so they will survive
High hopes that they will be happy with who they become
Interested in their journey, i wait to hear- when they are my age if i served them well
Joined as a family we have strength and peace, knowing that there is always someone to love you and be there if need
Kindness shines through their smiles and lights up their eyes
Leaving the nest is coming way too soon, i don't know what i'm going to do without you
My life in nothing like i thought i would be; it's so much more since i brought you into the world
Now i read myself to sleep, no more books that i have to repeat
Over time you are growing up and i am growing old
Patiently i wait for a visit or a call on the phone just to hear how you're getting along
Quietly i listen as my heart rapidly beats love to hear your voice or kiss your cheek
Really couldn't ask for 2 better sons; i know your not perfect but you will always be to me and i'm proud to be your mom
Sticking together in good times & bad
Thankful everyday for the time that we had
Until i die i will always be there for you that's no lie
Victory is mine, when you're on your own, productive and happy with a family of your own
Wishing i could turn back time so you'd still be the little boys of mine
X's & O's love ya bunches, mom. all of the time
You were both truly my inspiration to be a better person everyday
Zippety-do-da you're on your way!

Opinions

It’s just your point of view……….Every interaction affects YOU and what you take away from the experience is your point of view.
Your reaction reflects what you have learned right or wrong for you.
BUT……………
There is always another side in the situation – It usually takes two.
What I recall is how it affected me. Just who determines the truth? What I conceived from the notions is what I believe to be the truth no matter what you think would be right for you.

He said she said but did the actual person tell you. Do you really know them or just know of them. People always talk its only human nature. The only thing that really matters is what you believe to be true. How curious are you enough to be direct – go straight to the source. Communication is the key to a peaceful soul after all if you don’t speak how will the other know.

You won’t believe what I just saw……Where you late?……..did you ever think maybe you missed something that happen a few minutes ago. Maybe you an early bird who possible interrupted the reaction from yet another misunderstood soul who fell into your circumstances as you put on a show.

Words flash through your mind stirring you emotions - Jumbled words blurting out - the message lost in the translation - thoughts ricochet like bullets wounding you heart By now you much worse off than at the start.

Portraying the world, constant despair and gloom. Voicing their opinion. Selling billions of copies or ratings soar Someone always in the wrong

Everyone has good and everyone has evil.

It really doesn’t matter what anyone else says. The truth is within you – you, yourself know who you are.

Who I Am - Thanks To All of You

Who am I - Thanks to ALL of you.

Looking back on my life
All the choices that I have made
Some in the right direction
Some I had to pay
Many loved ones still standing by my side
Others lost along the way

The lessons that I have learned
Shaped me into who I am today
Sure it could have went differently than it’s today.

People & pets
Events around the world
All play a special roll in what we believe, think & say.
Sometimes even do.

But I am, who I am & it’s all because of you.

Memories are like treasures
Some we bury far far away
To hide the tears and the pain of a time we once knew
Some will bring a smile of great joy or a laugh or two at things we use to do
Others we proudly display everyday
Like my favorite photograph of you

Time is always moving forward
That’s why we always reflect upon the past
The future is uncertain not sure how long the moment will last,
You only have one life to live
I’m glad I’ve shared it with all of you.

My Favorite Place To Be

my favorite place to be
our legs intertwined
bodies over-lapped
arms wrapping a loving embrace
my favorite place to be
your tender touch
the light in your eyes, sparks my soul
my favorite place to be
bodies and souls melt into one
the world fades away as our eyes fall to rest
my favorite place to be
awaken to greet the day with you by side
my favorite place to be

Moonbeams

MOONBEAMS

Shadows dancing in the streets
Limbs swinging to the breeze
Tumbling, twirling leaves

Vibrant glow calling
Souls howling
Darkness is filled with life
Screaming, “Come see.”

Wanderers stalking
Silent prey
It’s always darkest before the day.

Finally - Rid of You

Another day walking in fear
Another day of hiding inside
Why me?
Cowering down all the time
No where to turn; he’s always there
They can’t help me

I tip the bottle over, the little pills spill out
plop, plop, plop Down into the water
Shaking…. I frantically stir, hoping they dissolve
Soon - all of my problems will be resolved
Down the hatch trying not to gag
Helping myself finally rid of you

Blurry images coming through……my mom crying by my side?
No! no! I wanted to die.
Tubes in my nose and down my throat
They just don’t know what I’ve been going through
Why oh why couldn’t they just Let me be…………

The man in the white coat softly ask “why would a pretty young girl like you want to turn yourself off?” REALLY!
Why oh why couldn’t they just Let me be
