Reaping Sex a Simple Note

REAPING SEX a simple note

If you wink an eye
At Fame’s restless lonely mate—
Prepare for a storm

Horse Acrostic

HORSE

Hell-bent stallion muscles led the mustangs through the plain,

On their heels rode hard a hired man –his job to rope the best--

Rearing high the stallion—urging speed as autumn winds dance thru his mane.

Sheets of lighting limned silhouettes as they pounded toward the west--

Enchanted now the man reined in—this day let beauty rule his breast.

Tiger Woods Complete Long Version

Tiger Woods
    By Victoria Anderson-Throop

What a hero-- Tiger Woods--
He sells golf and sporting goods.
Chases ladies in the night
Tells kids not to curse or fight

Tiger, Tiger burning bright--
You must learn to play it right.
When temptation’s in your face
Putt a caddy in your place.

The Restless Sea Historical Quatrain For Contest

THE RESTLESS SEA

As dawn swept 'way the morning stars
                           A gloomy Helen glared
Poor Paris stood in silence-- watched--
He’d kiss her if he dared.

The sea was raging round their heads
                           The men rowed without cease
The lovers headed to their doom--
A myth is birthed in Greece

Ten thousand ships launch in pursuit
                           Rough soldiers flex their knees--
                           Today hunt thieves tomorrow queens--
Men do what kings will please

The soldiers puked and gambled hard
                           Twas boredom that they feared
A seasick trip was just a jaunt--
                           The Trojan shore appeared

The glory grew beyond Troy’s walls
The truth no one can trust….
Dark tragedy writ in the books--
                           Tis flung among the dust.

Brother Acrostic

BROTHER JACK

Just and passionate
A true outdoorsman year around
Cannot change his iron will—it’s like a force of nature
Kinsmen treasure his stalwart company and joy of cooking

Big man with grace in strength
Roars the engine when he waits too long
Only reads in the dead of night
Takes kids out to ski without a grumble
Holds a glass each day to toast the dusk
Escapes the winter to fish the Gulf Coast
Rigs up shelters for wandering bluebirds

Ungrateful Children a Parent's Lament

UNGRATEFUL CHILDREN A parent's lament

Children
   	with Wings
    	and Talons
Pounce on the fleetest of hearts
 their

Memories

Soar
                 over the
                 Blood Transfusions
    		Hospital frights of prematurity
             			 of EMS sirens
                              HIV trembling tests
   		 Asthma Tents

Breathless Worry atop cloud kissed Trees

                Sleepless Nights of bully battles

                Struggles with Education’s foes

Mad Escapes from Fathers of Violence

The teary wave good bye for fledgling endeavors
Day night day night day night…unending
   	and

Land on

      Slight Imperfections and Imagined Slights
            or the

Shortage of Cash
        for
                    Trips
                    Technoshit
                    New Shoes
                    New Cars
	or other
Dreams
                         You
                      Couldn’t
                         Buy.

The Lady Who Bathes In Public

THE LADY WHO BATHES IN PUBLIC

               Harlot moon
           Languishes in star bath
                Shamelessly

Victoria Anderson-Throop

the moon last night made me want to repeat this favorite of mine!

Abomination

ABOMINATION

Abomination is my name.
There is no passion I've not felt.
Yearning pens attempt at fame
Dare each relationship to melt.

There is no struggle that I scorn.
There is no flame without scorched taste.
When blaze-bloom fires are born--
My inner soul consumes the waste.

Now , Sweet-- bamboozle me with joy.
Affection tender has its place.
Love's tempting comforts, please employ--
Make me cherish your sweet face.

Veritable Love

Their passion so unchecked--
                               He dried her tears
                               Before the sorrows struck
