Roses

Oh, I see roses in your eyes
we're put here only to face demise
this unknown road we walk is torn
yet of this world, we are born
some rich, some poor
some always seem adored
some black, some white
who's better? a non-sense fight
money is nothing, a temporal illusion
it only wreaks havoc and causes confusion
race is a color and I am colorblind
sexuality is sexuality why should others mind?
as for religion, it causes many pain
however, it's the only reason man's still sain
would you say born rich is an advantage
it's of no importance, either way
each and every, is put to the test
will you be remembered? or forgotten like the rest?

The Nice Guy

Sometimes it sucks being the nice guy
the girl you love isn't interested
just friends says she
just friends the next
pain is all I feel
to cover it agitates the wound
it's exhausting
I drive, as far as possible
return still slightly insane
haunted, f*cking go away
I want to cry, but they're looking my way
so my struggled smile here and their
walk away in tears
living in fear

Pill After Pill

Pill after pill
The pain still remains,
Night after night
Glued to this haze
thinking of you
emotions spread
love, hate, everything between
covered in shade
after slowly going insane
this blade,
allows emotions to escape through my veins.

My Dog Fred, Rip

From day one
a guardian, a best friend
one who truly cared
no matter what
you were always there
through pain, a smile
happiness, wisdom, love
a deep presence felt within
our talks, the one who understood
yet all good things must end
I just want you to know
im sorry
be free
I love you

All We Have Is Hope

The misplaced lonesomeness

the unseen tear

the seemingly unreachable dreams

the heart numbing failures

piled one by one, brick by brick

laid across my chest

life, designed for failure

dreams, designed for the strong

hope, its all we have

skin tingling, about to break

NEVER step away

NEVER give up

I will, be me

Open Your Eyes

Image of people covers years of existence

what lies beneath is their story

people judge by image

looking at what hides the truth

unable to take what's under the covers

we fall in others masks of self deceit

gain your sixth sense and truly see

Fallen

Each and every breathe
a gasp, jerked beneath the relentless current
wait! fresh air!
denied, burdens, to much to bare
I once looked far beyond the stars
your ordinary selfish dropout
aching, praying to the god I dont believe
envisioning, who i believed I was meant to be
yet now, each, every jolt
seems to take much more toll
noticed heartbeat, tingling, thoughts, disrupted
Constance, almost it seems
I will find my path
I will defeat deaths wrath
I will look back now and again
and thank God, i was never the fallen.

I Apoligize Did I Offend You

As I begin drinking

comes the stuttered thinking

passions made known

hidden emotions now shown

others views are heard

told by your ignorant words

yes, I sometimes come off as a fool

yet you, you seem to be just a tool

in a media controlled world

bombs dropped, family's lost

death becomes entertainment

money, for forgotten lives

yet you, self centered

offended by words

spoiled little baby,

get over it.

The Moment

Flick of the thumb, arising flame
cigarette brought to life
green field, sun's farewell illumination
leaves shadows hiding me in the dark
children laughing, drum like echoes
hoodie, a choice before you part
pen and paper, no eraser
now is the best time to start
dreams, begin at the heart
