Forbidden Love

Our love is forbidden.
It never should be.
It is easily realized.
We both can see.
Though I can’t help myself
No more than can you.
I doubt we can hide it
From everyones view.
So what will we say?
When our love comes to light?
Will our feelings go crashing
As rumors take flight?
No one understands
It’s so hard to see.
What would you want?
With someone like me?
Could anyone think
We might fit like a glove?
Could it possible
We might be in love?
I have something for you.
You have something for me.
Does it really matter
just what that might be?
Should we consider
How others may feel?
Is what we do wrong
So our love we conceal?
It’s so hard to fight back
when you’ve done nothing wrong
Yet someone else thinks
Our love can’t belong.
T’is a world full of judgment
In which we are born.
These are the pillars
On which our love is shorn.
A little bit wormy
And it seems like some rot
But these are ideals
Our society has taught.
So do I follow rules
Of someone long dead?
Or fallow my heart
And take you to my bed?

Heart Full of Scars

Interesting!
The heart is caged,
Behind so many bony bars.
Yet still it can be cut and slashed,
then left so full of scars.
We all have our turn left bleeding,
Our souls pouring on the floor.
As the one we loved so much,
passes through our door.
The tears go rolling down our face,
Dripping off our chin.
Every thought inside our head,
Saying it’s the end.
The joy in life forever gone,
How can love be again?
Is there anybody anywhere,
Who has a heart to lend?
Every time I show it,
it gets another burn.
Why do I refuse to see,
Why is it I can’t learn?
Lost upon these desolate shores,
I forever sail alone.
A very very lonely soul,
a heart that knows no home.
A tall and raging water fall,
Seething emotions foam.
Not a single drop of love,
Can to my heart be shone.
As the emotion we most live for,
Strains through endless sands,
A sun that lights our sky above,
Departs for distant lands.
I’m now left standing by myself,
a lonely broken man.
Giving love to someone else,
I no longer think I can.
My heart broken to many times,
Now lost forever more.
A sweet old man that lives alone,
A bachelor to the core.

Mistakes I Made

The mistakes I made when I was young.
I still make yet today
Though they may not be quite the same
I’m still trying to find my way
Lost upon these dusty roads
Through so many twists and bends
I know somewhere up ahead
This road surely ends
If I am not ready
If it catches my surprise
No one ever told me
What was over that next rise
For surely there is no road map
To show which turns to take
And directions are not something
You can find a way to fake
At each intersection
You must choose which way to go
And there isn’t really any way
That you can really know
So you must plod along this path
That no one ever knows
So you can finally find it’s end
And see just where it goes.

My Kisses Say I Love You

My kisses say I love you
My hugs say even more
You are that one thing in my life
That truly I adore
When I wake up in the morning
You lying by my side
I have to turn and let you know
For my love I can not hide
You are the force that drives me
Through out my whole day
You are the light that guides me
As I travel on my way
Last night I saw a shooting star
Streaking across the sky
It reminded me of love we share
The bond tween you and I
Lightning bugs so glimmer
Putting magic in the night
You and I together
Are also such a sight
So remember how I love you
For in the morning you’re my sun
And each day we are together
You are my only one.

It's a Beautiful Morning

It's a beautiful morning
The sun shining bright
I sleeped quite well
through out the hole night
I feel fully restedIt's a beautiful morning
I'm ready to go
It is not a work day.
Thank god it is so
I really don't know
What I want to do.
Though I was really hopeing
I could spend it with you.
A casual walk
In the park
by the creek
We could talk as we walk
stop somewhere and eat
Drink a glass of wine
could I hold your hand
Just something simple
doesn't have to be planned
A marvelous day
we could stay well passed dark
something to do
just on a lark

A Story of My Love

A word or two strung together
A story of my love
A memory from then and now
Time I keep thinking of

The times we held each other
Soft kisses that we share
Words we offered one another
To show how much we care

Holding hands and walking
Down a sunny sandy beach
Grasping at the sky above
Could there be a star in reach

Good times filled with laughter
How we share each others love
My heart so full of caring
You are all that I think of

My happiness
My joy in life
Sweet tenderness
My lovely wife

I am so glad I finally met you
There is little time left we can share
And yet ever since creation
It was for you that I was there

Why did we not meet sooner?
What were we thinking of
Please hold me close my darling
And reaffirm our love.

I Crossed the World

I crossed the world for glory
I sailed the seas for love
I knew not where I was going
Or who I was thinking of

I took off on every plain I could
I sailed on every boat
I knew not what you looked like
I had no picture I could tote

I wandered through the desserts
Climbed the mountains high
I looked out from every single peek
But all I saw was sky

Finally in a city
One I felt unique
At last I saw a woman
The one I am sure I seek

When we finally touched my sweet
That is when I knew
I crossed the world my darling
I crossed it to find you

I Wish You

I wish you the sun,
to make your attitude bright.
I wish you the dark,
so you may appreciate light.
I wish you enough happiness,
to keep your heart living.
I wish you some pain,
so small things seem giving.
I wish you enough gain,
so you feel some success.
I wish you enough loss,
to know what you possess.
I wish you much wisdom, so you may truly see,
how the world really is, not how it should be.
Now I have one more wish,
you might see through my eyes.
I wish you the hellos,
to get you through good-bys.

Darkness

When you fill your heart with darkness
You fill your life with spite
When you’re walking down that tunnel
And your heart can see no light
You hold on to not but hatred
You fill your soul with bitter tea
When hatred fills your eyes so full
You can no longer see.
You become a burnt out cinder
A crumb of what could be
And you are doomed to live your life
In hate and misery
A soul that no one cars for
Nobody wants around
A wall grows up about you
Where poisen spikes abound
Your mind becomes a closet
That only night can find
All the joy you knew in life
You now leave far behind
It is a desperate journey
Down this lonely path
Where happiness is gone forever
Leaving you with only wrath

Are You a Genie

Are you a genie; do you live in a bottle?
At the end of the day when you walk do you toddle?
When you open your eyes to see morning's first light.
Can you remember the end of last night?
Why do you play a game you can't win?
You know your excuses are so very thin.
Life has to be more than a seat on a stool.
I know you can see it you're not that great a fool?
I don't mean to insult but what do I do?
To give you the desire to care about you.
It seems so lonely when you are around.
I feel I'm the only caring one to be found.
I did not want to sit here, and say this to you.
What choice have you left me?
What else can I do?
I think your special, why do you not see,
all that you have, all you can be?
It's your own choice; it's all up to you.
I give you my opinion, that's all I can do
