Amelia Gerber Poem
You wrap your arms around my body like a cold wet sea,
You make me forget who I am supposed to be.
I shiver in fear of what your darkness entails,
i run to the shore ready to lift my sails.
You caress my cheek like the mystique lover,
You lift me off my feet in a horrific hover.
I try to light a candle to keep you at bay,
I only have 12 more hours till it hits day.
Tears stream down my face in defeat,
My heart can't take the fear with each passing beat.
Oh, Sun God, where are thou at now?
Why have you failed me; how?
Tick Tock goes the clock in my head,
Maybe this will go away if i go to bed.

Amelia Gerber Poem
Alone with the thoughts in my head,
I only want to crawl into bed.
Your gone away from me for some time,
I want you to be here to be mine.
I exhale a sigh of despair,
I know we make the perfect pair.
It gets lonely here with you both gone,
We only get time together is when there is a yawn.
Red like the rose is how my heart bleeds for you,
Everything together we had to get through.
So just a few more hours till I see your faces,
I will wait to feel your warm embraces.
