Erin S Poem
My cloak is no match for your brown eyes
You see my everything, no way to deny
Everything bare and naked like bone
Your warmth overwhelms my cold eyes of stone
No place to hide or runaway
Your arms scoop me up and carry me away
The scars I so desperately mask
You see right through, never meant to last
From the freshly painted crimson tares
To the lines that are barely there
With the hands that match my own
You heal me with more love than I could have ever known

Erin S Poem
There is a time we must accept
When the road leads where we do not expect
Be willing for a sudden detour
Open your eyes for what you can explore
It will never be the same story told
For what you choose, go proudly and be bold

Erin S Poem
Why is it me the loveless wanderer only tempted by fruit so forbidden
My intentions are never revealed, secret and well hidden
Torturous thoughts of your flushed skin so close to my lips
Dare me to take a bite and conquer with my finger tips
Succulent taste of a sin so sweet
Sharing in rapture as our forms begin to meet
A glimpse or a caress from you is all I would need
To shed my shameful self and give in to my greed

Erin S Poem
I walk this world with the cover of a ghost
The one I asked to be my host
A link to a world I can not see
A way for you to be apart of me
With every free gift there is a condition
This messenger is sent to carry out your mission
Some days I wish to ignore and savor the temptations of life
But there you are to quench my thirst with a piercing knife
Some days I wish to rip it from my skin
Regretting the day I ever let you in
Some days I wish to revel in my desires
Willing to stand up and scream Hell to the fire
A voice creeps through the selfishness and greed
"Never will leave or abandon my child, for through me you will find all that you need"
I fall to the floor in sweet surrender
Thanking the Lord above for my Savior

Erin S Poem
A wolf in disguise by the name of Mr. Grey
I am all to willing to be his submissive prey
His dangerous game is pleasure and pain
Others look at me as if I were insane
A dominant presence, he stands on the stage
Sweet anticipation as I press against the bars of my cage
This is not right, too different and strange
Oh, but I can't get enough of these ropes, whips, and chains
He shows me worlds not of this Earth
I am the drug that satisfies and sparks his thirst
Extosy are my wrists containing his seal
This is life and what it truly means to feel

Erin S Poem
Suddenly you came without sound
Through my cracks, there was more to be found
Everything you see, my light and dark
Yet to touch your lips, but you already left a mark
Near and far I have looked for so long
But there you were, close to home all along

Erin S Poem
Endless is life's array of decadent sweets
Chosen only to partake a portion of treats
Ever aware of the fleeted glances my way
Ashamed by my ecstasy and willingness to fray
Storms within beg to jump into seas of calm
I dare just skin the surface with my palm
Cracks run down the length of my shield
As I feel myself finally begin to yield
My clothes stripped bare with open skin
I submerge myself and take it all in
Violent cold enters my every pore
My breathless gasps as I wish for everything and more

Erin S Poem
To my Grandma whose bond I share
For everything you have done with love and care
So much and yet you give more
Endless are the things I thank you for
Here is something simple, a mere piece
From the gifts you helped nurture and release

Erin S Poem
Dazed I stood at the site I could not believe
Surely my eyes were wrong and attempting to deceive
A flash of red had led me to this world unspoken
She was trapped under his body so utterly broken
Still I don't know what I thought through all of that commotion
But I had to preserve what a father had saved with his unending devotion
Through the muck and rain I wiped her tears
As she told me of her life, hopes, and fears
I prayed this light would not fade away
Like the sun on that stormy April day
Above we heard from under our soaked blanket
A cry from the others telling her she was going to make it
I am not the one who deserves praise for such bravery
For the hero's were our neighbors who showed true comradery

Erin S Poem
Tap tap goes the baton
Above all others he stands upon
Silence, we hold our gaze
Anxious we wait as the curtains raise
Lift of a hand, ready on stage
An aria begins to flow right off the page
