Lonely

A telephone that seldom rings
So many songs I never sing
I open the door, but no ones there
Where are all the people who say they care
The world outside keeps going by
As I look out the window and try not to cry
Where did all the people go?
The ones I love, I miss them so
Long days turn into night
It's oh so lonely till early morning light
If I could only be what I used to be
I know how proud you'd be of me
But only then do I realize
The lord is very very close by
Then as I wipe away a tear from my eye
I hear him say, my child do not cry
And then I'm happy like I used to be
Because I know he's here for me

You Didn'T Even Say Goodbye

Why did you just get up and go away?
I thought that you would be here for me every single day
You did not even say goodbye
And if things went wrong, why did you not say "Lets try"?
I sit by my window and I am all alone
I am sitting there waiting and you don't even phone
What shall I do for the rest of my life?
When I thought we'd always be together as husband and wife
So as I sit by my window, I know in my heart
That we'll be together again, because we were never meant to part
Then as I look out of my window
In another world I can see
We will be together as it was always meant to be

Diva

Rings are the best thing with all the bling bling bling
The polish for my nails get looks that never fails
And when I add the eye shadow to my eyes
I get glances of admiring surprise
When I put the lipstck on, my old age just seems to be gone

The Cycle of Life To My Grandson

When you were just a little boy
I'd take your hand and say
I know that you'll take care of me
when I am old and gray
Now that I've grown older
And my hair has turned to gray
I know that you are here for me
Every single day
You make life well worth living
And you will always be
That little boy who grew up to be this wonderful man
That now takes care of me

A Tribute To My Sister

I had a little sister
Who grew up to be my friend
I thought we'd always be together
Until the very end
We shared so many memories
Of times we were young and carefree
Even though she is no longer here
She'll always be with me
Day after day year after year
I will always remember her with a whole lot of laughter
And few little tears

To My Sister

I feel your presence everywhere I go
You know how much I miss you and how I love you so
I try very hard not to be sad
That's when I try to think of all the good times we had
You'll always be with me every single day
But Oh! How much I miss you since you went away.

Special Things You Do

It's not the things you do at special times
It's the special things you do all the time

My Wheelchair

I sit in a wheelchair every single day
I've learned to accept it because it has to be that way
There are people here that walk and criticize people like me
If they would only stop for one second
Then maybe they would see
That we are no different and would like to keep our dignity
Instead of criticizing your fellow woman or man
Show a little compassion and try to understand
For God only knows that someday they may be
In that dreaded wheelchair, exactly like me

My Sister

My sister wrote a poem for me
Of christmass's gone and past
The time that was so special
We thought would last and last
The time is always changing
And we all know this is true
And things are not the same for us
So what are we to do?
We take the precious moments
That we shared some years ago
And know we will always have them
And never let them go
For no one can take the memories
That we hold oh so dear
As long as we could remember
And so how much we care

Happy Holiday

Happy Holiday to each and everyone of you
May your hopes and your dreams for the new year all come true
It'a magical time for children of all ages
To show how much we care and try to remember the reason we are all here
To love and show compassion
Not just at holiday time
But all through the coming year after year
