Winter Bird

Lovely winter bird
Perched so high
Sing a song
For you and I

Such breathtaking music
Filling the air
How could I ignore
This song you share

Each and everyday
I come to listen
Your voice to me
Has become my addiction

Even the cold wind
Could not make me go
I wouldn't want to miss
This gift you have bestowed

Again I will come
To see you tomorrow
To hear your joyous song
That melts away my sorrows

Moving On

The winds will blow
Even if you leave
The trees continue to grow
It's hard to believe

Rivers don't stand still
If you think they do
I have the will
To move on from you

The sun still shines
My heart's so bright
I will miss you at times
At the end there's light

The birds continue to chirp
I enjoy this, atleast
You caused so much hurt
I deserve to be in peace

I watch the deers feed
As they go from meadow to meadow
I have again found me
That certain special glow

Abandon me, you did
Best thing that happened
Now I need to live
Full force and strapped in

Crazy Man

Crazy as you are horrifiC
Raving, ranting shooteR
Always carrying your berettA
Zigzag from bullets that whiZ
Yearning to cause tragedY
Monster fueled by deliriuM
Arise from paranoiA
Never to be seen agaiN

That Boy

When you came
You came alone
That boy who followed
We did not know

His shirt was dirty
And with pants torn
He needed to eat
Fed him pork and some corn

He didn't belong
Sent him on his way
When we woke
He was there to say

"Take care of me
And we will show
The gift of God
Love to be bestowed"

We turned our heads
We laughed away
But we felt sorry
And told the boy, "okay"

Come on in
We will help you
But don't steal
That's the rule

He did what he was told
Acted like a saint
Never did he worry
Never came a complaint

With us for 10 years
Loved him like our son
It was time for him to leave
His 'journey' had just begun

Five years after
My husband had cancer
Doctors gave no hope
But the boy had the answer

"You showed me love
Even if you didn't believe
I'll tell God to hold him
And let this man be"

2 days after, then it happened
He opened his eyes
Doctors could not believe
To all it was a surprise

But then my husband said
"He came to me when I was asleep,
He said my father dear
You shall not weep"

"you will complete your journey
Live it with you wife
You gave me your love
I am giving you your life"

Broken

So much emptiness
Nothing but pain
So much sadness
Nothing to gain

Heart without soul
Life so timed
Taking it's toll
Happiness can't find

Tears burn eyes
Seeing into you
Slowly I die
Anguish coming through

Down into darkness
Here I lay
Broken and heartless
For another day

The Priest

A house that I can't love
This house that I am frightened of
The noise that I hear through the night
Makes my throat close in tight

Sending shivers down my back
Looking behind there's not a track
It sometimes whispers in my ear
But noone else hears what I hear

Can it be something of evil
A cry so far to say it's the Devil
A light push of my hair
Want to scream but I do not dare

With visions of blood on the wall
Don't pay attention, don't react at all
Doors opening with noone there
Trying to act as if I don't care

Woke up with scars on my arm
Now the entity is causing me harm
I'm scared now for my well being
Scared even more that I can't see it

Finally called in a priest
Hoping he'll help me at least
Tried to get rid of it with an exorcism
Devil laughed and said, "I'm not scared of him"

Talked to the Devil, I did myself
He said, "You know there is no help"
He's throwing tables in a rage
Trapped, my home became my cage

Pleading for him to let me leave
He grabbed the priest saying now you're free
Running till I reach my door
Looking back I can't ignore

Hey Devil I cry to him
Take me, who has sinned
Smiling with a wicked grin
You are no worse than him

He is the one I've come to get
A priest with no regrets
A drunk and an abuser
Come priest meet your future

Go To Bed

It's about that time
Time to go to sleep
Put on your pjs
And go brush your teeth

I'll read you a book
Then tuck you in
You say your not tired
Who do you think your fooling

I have the last word
That's going to be said
Listen to me
Now go to bed

Come on, don't fuss
And fight
Get under the covers
I'll turn out the light

I wish you sweet dreams
With a kiss on the cheek
Goodnight my darling
Off I sneak

Silent

Floating in emptiness
Cold like ice
All around pettiness
Feels just right

Grip grabs tighter
It's falling apart
Look the outsider
With bleeding heart

Finally it's silent
Lasting for eternity
Finally, finally silence
Looking for harmony

Released

I gave it my all
I tried to stand
But you made me crawl

I gave you my love
Something you could keep
Not for you to dispose of

I gave you my soul
So we could walk together
Never thinking you'd take control

I gave you my mind
We could think as one
Instead you had declined

I gave you the gun
You asked for the bullets
But I had none

I gave you the knife
You gave me a kiss
Then you took my life

I gave you everything
And what for
I'll never be again
My body lays on the floor

Maybe I'll be at peace
Knowing your not here
My soul is now released
Visions all disappear

A feeling of serenity
Passes over me
A beautiful melody
Sounding so heavenly

RELEASED!

Untitled

What have you done!
Your covered in dirt
I know your having fun
But look at your skirt

You can't come in here
With all that mess
I love you my dear
But take off your dress

When I said you could play
I didn't think it'd come to this
It's going to take me all day
Just to clean your mess

Although you're as cute as can be
All that mud in your hair
With big brown eyes staring at me
It's difficult to bare

I'll say 'don't do it again'
Will you listen to me
I see your brow
Thinking 'do I agree?'
