All the Ways I Hate You

I hate the way that you're not here to kiss me or run your fingers through my hair

I hate the way that sometimes I can't tell whether or not you care

I hate the way you never come to me; you wait for me to come to you

I hate how easily I forgive you for anything you do

I hate the way that sometimes you can't get your mind off my t&a

I hate it when I can't talk to you everyday

I hate the way you make me want you really bad

I hate the fact that you have the power to make me sad

I hate the way that I can't tell you no

I hate that when you're with me I never want you to go

I hate it when you make me cry

I hate that I can't let you make me moan and sigh

I hate the way you're scared to commit even though you know I'll never leave

I hate the way you think being a worthy man is something you'll never achieve

I hate the way you think you need to give me things when all I want is you

I hate the way that sometimes you don't have a clue

I hate the way you're always right

I hate that I don't even want to put up a fight

I hate the way you don't seem to care whether or not I text or call

I hate how fast you made me fall

"but mostly I hate the way I don't hate you
not even close
not even a little bit
not even at all." -10 Things I Hate About You

Dancing Girls

the dancing girls twirled
a tumult of rich colors
their restless feet
move across the marble plane
spinning endlessly
on tiring toes
gold skin glistening
in the firelight
feverish eyes flashing
bloodred skirts flying
the drums intensify
forcing the girls
to incredible motion
twirling faster
than they thought possible
the lack of air
burns through their bodies
if they stop, they die
if they dance, they die
the music ends
with a resounding clash
dancers collapse
in graceful forms
sucking air in painfully
they rise and twirl
out of marble hell
to await tomorrow night
when they shall dance
again

Stanza Iii: the Death of Innocents

singsong voices fill the air
well, it would seem we've not a care
in the world, though it is grey
we only laugh. we don't pray
all the difficulties we ignore
though they happen right before
our very eyes
so it should come as no surprise
when the blood of children fills the skies
now we know they've not a care
as our singsong voices fill the air

True Blindness

they who are truly blind

choose not to see

they close their eyes

to shut it out

but they cannot do without

their sight

something will happen

because they are ignorant

they who are truly blind

choose not to see

Starshine

by the starshine i see ? ?
a truer version of me
as the darkness pervades
the fear and trouble escapes
my soul vaults far up into the skies
as i soar free with newly opened eyes
when i am a truer version of me
only then am i free
