Freedom From Deception

"So what are you now?
Arabic and Puerto Rican or Irish and African American."
I do not know and I have not known for eighteen years of my life.
And I do not care if I go on to another nineteen to twenty years.
Nobody ever cared and they are never going to care about who I am, or who I am
going to become.
I was raised by demons summoned from the depths of this earth to rape me of
my innocence.
I always asked myself what have I done to deserve what I have suffered in the
hands of the ones, who were supposed to love me.
But even those whose task is to love fail in their duties, and only live to cause
pain and suffering in an individuals life.
Then as I thought freedom had come to me at last, it was the worst of my worries.
With this freedom came deception and displacement in a family that were not
sure if loving me, and accepting as family, was the right thing to do.
A family that like the other destroyed me.
I had raised myself like a savage cub on it’s own; surviving was my prerogative.
Pleasant memories I do have; memories I keep within me like a pirate’s treasure
of love.
These memories are what help me to keep constant hope and survive in my
world.
A world so immense and no time to waist; a world filled with streets of demonic
influences that anchored me down.
To walk alone was what seemed as my destiny; but there within this despair I
met love.
Love that reigned in the inner most part of my heart.
Touched by your mystery and beauty I was caught in an unbearable trance.
You showed me the way to heaven and you gave the plea of a second chance.

Hiding Away

As the wind blows, my sorrow it takes
	Away…
As the tree grows, my wishes it
	Grants…
As the rain falls, my tears the sky drains
	Them all….
As the clouds part, my problems they
	Fade away….
As the flowers bloom, prosperity and
	Contentment always comes to
		Me….
But……
As the leaves, settle upon our dirt,
	My thoughts gradually begin to
		Hurt….
As the rain transforms itself into a storm,
	My feelings inside begin
		To roar.
And as lightening slays the sky with it’s Bony fingers,
To free itself, so does my inner unspoken
Words That out of my mouth begin
		To soar.

A Freedom Achieved ( a September 11 Poem)

It all started as a dream.
Freedom was the key…
But how could it be?
People were actually dying.
Steps were taken;
In seconds, bodies were shaken.
This world was created on unity.
Now all we see is distrust,
Dishonesty.
Reaching out for the best…
But there was no best!
After that tragic moment…
It was never the same.
Explain,
How did we come to deserve this pain?
It is a definite answer to our questions
That we need.
No matter the consequences,
We will always succeed,
Because after that tragic incident…
Unity and Respect…
We achieved.

Starvation of Horror

We dug, we stole, we killed,

We mugged, we even fought,

All for just some pieces of crumbs.

We scattered, and teeth were chattered,

All for just a piece of bread.

Our dignity was reduced to the infinite extend.

To the moment we commit murder without comprehension,

And yelled, and cried over the constant starvation.

We began to lose our scent, and the garbage we lived in was what we bathed in.

So bad we killed for food, that we tended to eat things that were no good.

What were we planning to do, if our rescue does not come to us,

Soon.

The Reasons For Love

How could life, treat you like this,
I saved your life, with just a simple kiss,
I pull you up, from that cold, dark abyss,
The memories we spend, we will surely miss,

I will set you free, from your misery,
	I will hold you tight,
And be your guide, walk with you through the tunnel,
	With my light,

Don’t set your eyes down,
Don’t let your pride hit ground,
Once we reach the end of this tunnel,
You will surely be save and sound...

Now, we have arrived, and set you free I will,
Now it’s your time to see, what’s over that hill.

I had held you in my arms, as I would to a wounded dove,
But now, it’s time to let you fly.
And to you my love,
I’m forced to say goodbye.
