Malcolm

Bullets pierced the night.
A Mother's Cry pierced the calm.
His life stained the streets.

Happy Hour

You intoxicate me.
See how my equilibrium has been compromised?
This smile you've placed in my brown eyes
and this heat between my anxious thighs?

Your taste leaves me in a drunken stupor.
Your serum claims the focus once donned on worry.
Your intensity takes my breath away.
You intoxicate me.

You're strong and smooth
Going down hot and wet.
Before the night is over, you have my tongue tied in knots.
My diction is incomprehensible
You intoxicate me.

You alter my mood before you're even in me.
I sup and the sweet fermented nectar you leave behind is addictive.
I can hardly wait to sup and sup
Until I hear the echoes of emptiness from your vessel.

You are a genuine artifact
Not to be mixed with this and that.
My cup runneth over,
My thirst has been quenched.
You intoxicate me.

Miss You'Ll Do

His sights are set on something new
but Miss You'll do
..anything you think will keep him or please him
and for now..you'll do.
He's in so many words told you
that he's just stopping through
but Miss You'll do..
it a time or two if that's what he gives you.
He'll hang out for a few
...and Miss you'll do
what he likes in hopes that he sees in you
what you want him to
but he'll just do what he wants to do.
He'll call and text and you know what's next.
As confidence builds his attention yields
to his inclination to remain kinesthetic and Miss
You'll do pathetic.
He'll do you til he's done or
has found another one who
will do something new.
But what he won't do
is say "I DO"
to one he's run through
and THE ONE he'll choose,
he won't want to do
The things that you'll do!

15 Minutes

I have to check my schedule
Maybe I read it wrong
It has been 15 minutes
And nothing’s come along

They say that’s how long
It takes to catch another
That the pickings are endless
The sea’s full of good brothers

Whoever did THAT research
Gave us flawed data
They were either on THEIR buses
Or boarding ours later

So, if you’re on YOUR bus
Having a bumpy ride
Hold on and Endure it
OR stand and wait outside

There is no guarantee
The next bus will be best
Only that you board it
As you did the rest.

Wall Street

You brought your company to me with stock values down.
Until you were in demand you were always around.
I worked my magic when things were lean.
You consumed my mind, my energy, my dreams.
Your stock has now recovered.
Your value’s been discovered.
The share price is exclusive.
Your presence is elusive.
You took your company public;
Stock is in high demand.
I'll give you a hand;
On your resilience.
But be careful;
even the best have ceilings.
When you hit it and begin your descent;
You'll pass my way again.
My advice will be then
to sell my friend
because I won’t broker my dreams again.
