The Human Smile

Nothing in the world so disarming,
so charming in it's domain.
Across a crowded room or two feet away
it's all the same.
The shortest distance between two people
despite any other claim.
Is for now and will forever be
with no denial the human smile.

The Path of Love

My love softly walks with my heart in hand
down a path that will lead
to the center of my being.
In the windows that are my loves eyes
I can see the promise of all tomorrows.
With the caress of a hand a declaration
of what is yet to come.
Warm sultry words are gently spoken
yet strong enough to penetrate
all walls of fear or hesitation.
Lips swollen with loves need now dire
burn in me a path of fire.
Heart to heart and flesh to flesh
two souls meet in loves pyre.
The symphony of mind and soul
rise and fall with unquenching amplitude.
Like the cadence beat of a kettle drum
two hearts beat as one.
As emotions soar to the pinnacle of
celestial firmament all time seems suspended.
Then like an artesian well love explodes
consuming the two souls that lay within.
As a chalice passed each luxuriates in the
liquid pearls that lay therein.
The rapture now complete gently settles
to peaceful bliss as the two now bask
in the afterglow side by side
with hearts in hand.

On Comes the Night

Sunset like a cotton candy world full of color
fills the sky with mock representations
of the earth below.
Hills, valleys, rivers and fields in panoramic view
float above my head.
Clouds disapate and colors deepen
as the temptress of sunset takes flight
her time now spent.
Twilight whispers and seduces
as she brings on the blanket of night
with bed warm promises
till sunrise arrives with it's golden light.

Kash wrote a Thau-bauk called Twilight Her Name and through this poem he was my muse for this poem.

This is now part of a series of poems including Sunset Reverie, An Evening by The Lake,
Days End, A Night of Dreams and Tiny White Canoe

Vexation

The cessation
and alleviation
of the causation
of irritation
is the clarification
of information
or the realization
the situation
in contemplation
is a manifestation
without liberation
except termination
of your fixation.

I wrote this in 2003 and it was the first of it's kind known at the time.

Red Hot Snapper

When a relationship is based
on a red hot snapper
with a knockout wrapper
that builds a fire in your jeans.

This kind of marriage is for
the movie screen.

In time the snapper cools down.
The knockout wrapper isn't
quite the knockout it used to be
and the fire in your jeans is on it's way out.

This is now the beginning of the end.
You don't really know each other
your not even friends
and now the fights begin.

If you had picked your wife for life
with the head on your shoulders
instead of the one between your knees,
you might have found a wife for life
instead of a high maintenance money pit
that you can't please.

The Colors of Love

Love can give the warmth and glow
of a golden sunny day,
the joy and laughter
of a heart at play.

With love comes
the bright red of fire,
when one is consumed
with passions desire.

Loves gentle beauty and grace
can leave on your face
a soft petal rose
when loves fire recedes to repose.

When love is errant and untrue
filled with hurt and pain
it can turn ones life
to sad and blue.

When love is threatened
from dark forces
seen or unseen
the color of love
quickly turns to green.

If love is lost
or just gone away
it can turn life dull
and the color of gray.

Love in view all around
but none for you to be found
makes the world seem
ugly and brown.

Now with an eye you do espy
a chance for love anew
on comes the white light
of hope for you.

Love once again bright and new
gives an orange and gold tint
to the wonderful future
now in view.

The embers of love's fire
dances with life once again
as it begins it's life anew.

So on goes the rainbow of love
with varying color and hue.

Have a Blessed Day

From the rise of the sun
till the end of day
may your hearts be happy
and your laughter gay.

Stretch out your arms
and wiggle your toes.
Put on a smile
and throw out your woes.

A smile given
is a smile received.
More will return
than you'd believe.

From the setting sun
till the break of day
from the multitude
of smiles given away

You'll find happiness
has blossomed and grown.
Then a happier life
you will own.

Have a Blessed Day.

I'M Just Me

When asked how I am today
This is what I say.

Not good
Not bad
Just me.

No one likes a complainer.
No one likes a bragger.

Neither of these will I be
If I'm JUST ME.

The Courtship

he walked with me for miles.
talked with me for ever.
kissed me with sincerity.
held me till I felt strong.
surrounded me with loving
and protective arms
and with much tenderness
left himself burried
deep within my heart.

I wrote this many years ago
we just won't say how many.
