But When I Look Back

Well I left today.
Without saying bye to you.
I hit the road.
For something new to do.

But when I look back.
To the town of yesterday.
I remember.
Your having a hard time too.

I don't remember.
The small things anymore.
Like who was winning.
Or who was keeping score.

But when I look back.
From the jungle where i am today.
I remember.
Not much about you.

It's getting old.
Being all alone.
I want to get back.
To the place I call home.

But when I look back.
To the troubles that were in my way.
I remember.
Those times we went threw.

And if time, was prime then baby would you be my sign.
And its for me, yes to be more like I am free..

Well I give up.
Trying to forget you.
I can forget.
Even with someone new.

But when I look back.
To the town of yesterday.
I remember.
Your having a hard time too.

I Need You

Well heres the story of you and me.
Wrapped it up in a summary.
Tell it to ya, if you got time.
Oh my baby how I wish you were mine.

I need you
In my life

Please let me come home

Well it started on a February night.
Back then everything was all right.
You walked around lookin so nice.
Looked at you once, but had to look twice.

I need you
In my life

Please let me come home

Well this carried on for some time.
I knew right away you had to be mine.
I made you fall in love with a trick.
Then I moved away and became love sick.

I need you
In my life

Please let me come home

I came here and you came there.
We fell in love without a care.
I knew right then I had to come home.
You couldn't stand being all alone.

I need you
In my life

Please let me come home

Well we moved in really quick.
I was great until I got sick.
All my love was all the same.
But in the end I am the only one to blame.

I need you
In my life

Please let me come home

We kept on threw thick and thin.
Why it went wrong, where to begin.
I fell off of a one way track.
If I had it my way, I would take it all back.

I need you
In my life

Please let me come home.

She's Your Baby

Well I see your baby.
Looking my way.
Yeah your baby.
Is mine today.

When shes had enough she runs from you.
When she needs more, I'm the one she runs to.

She lies at midnight.
When shes with me.
But at midnight.
Shes my baby.

When shes had enough she runs from you.
When she needs more, I'm the one she runs to.

She's my baby.
Let her go.
I said maybe.
But I don't know.
Maybe I'll keep her.
And she'll be mine.
Till I get bored.
Then break up time.

When shes had enough she runs from you.
When she needs more, I'm the one she runs to.

The Fake

To you the man with unforgivable demeanor.
He who walks into a room and tries to own it.
When your failing miserably only to think your succeeding.

You who sits at the bar alone.
But yet thinks he has the company of everyone.

He who is in denial and in love with a married woman.
Who parks his bike in front of the door.
Roaring the engine before taking out the key.

You are the loneliest man I know.

My entertainment.
My freedom to poke fun at the BIG man.

I see you with your fake grin and feminine handshake.
Or is that my handshake cringing at the thought of touching you.

Woman you are in love with, dream of me.
For I am something you can never be.
An artist.

Not For You

My patience slips as I wait for you.
I think of the conversations that lay ahead.
The concrete is cold in Niagara.
You arrive with a fake smile.
I sit down and soon realize you are concrete.

People are different on vacation.
The booze, the heat and no responsibility.
With a moon grinning back at me.
Its to easy to fall in love.

Your place is all grown up.
You like to make me think, your holding everything together.
Really it's all falling apart.

I am planning my escape before the sun comes up.
I followed a dream.

Your my favourite dissapointment.
