Cat Nap

Cat
Napping
At my feet
Dreaming of mice
Muscles twitching fast
You should be resting now
But instead you are chasing
Running as fast as you can go
Excited, you almost have him now
What will you do when you catch him? I ask.

What Am I Doing Here

Shuffling papers, answering phone
Paying bills, driving home
What am I doing here?

Washing underwear, finding food
Getting pretty, in the mood?
What am I doing here?

Raising children, sharing smiles
Finding hope, Loving life
That's what I am doing here...

Soul

Safe place inside me
Deep within my heart
Hidden but not lost
Quiet but not mute
Never touched by fear

Childish spirit
Hunkering down
You are here now
Speak up Release

God within
Eternal
Voice of love

Living
Breathing

Soul.

What Am I Doing Here Ii

Shuffling papers, paying bills
Clearning floors, cooking meals
What am I doing here?

Getting pretty, never stops
Signing checks, washing pots
What am I doing here?

Adding numbers, making money
Wearing heels, being funny
What am I doing here?

Making smiles, giving hope
Sharing love, creating a home
Growing up, getting older
Making sure I always remember
What I am doing here......
