Words Hurt Worse

She lays there alone
Looking at the sky
She thinks of that saying, the one about sticks and stones
And says softly to herself "Thats a lie."
That day she had been called a pig,a *****, and a mutt
She had also been told she was fat, worthless, and scary
She wonders if she really is a slut
Soon she became ever so wary
Then she slowly sits up and draws out her knife
She thinks about that little trophy wife
Who muttered the 6 words "She should take her own life"
Slowly that girl puts her knife to her chest
As the words "Kill yourself" run through her mind
She stabs the knife into her chest just like the rest
If only one person had been kind...
Now she falls back into a lay
Wondering how long it will take for someone to find her
A year? A month? A day?
Everything fades into a blur
She takes her last breath
Then finally she reaches her death

Dad

This letter, with the writing on the page

Fill me with emotions that run so deep

Yet it releases your emotions from an iron cage

While mine continue to seep and seep

What shall I do with his new thought?

Do you really care for me as I care for you?

This letter just makes me feel so caught

Could this all really be true?

Dad, I love you. We both know this

This letter proves you love me too

Dad we both know it is you I miss

You miss me; this letter is the final clue.

Together we've been on an up and down ride

Yet we shall always stay together, side by side.

Blurred Slur Cure

Loud, ruthless, drunken slur
Visions of family blur
Matters not what they think
As long as she gets one more drink

Watching from the sidelines
A visit turned internal binds
Do I stay and help them?
Younger siblings, emotions dim

Can't stay, mom wants me home
Daddy will stay, don't feel so alone
Emotional chaos, I want to stay and help
I turn, hearing one final yelp

Please daddy, keep them calm
Don't raise a fist, or drop a bomb
That's why we're not together, daddy
Those kids, they need you badly

Loud, ruthless, drunken slur
Visions of family blur
Matters not what they think
As long as she gets one more drink

Leave her if you must
It's her my siblings and I cannot trust
Keep them safe at all cost
Even if it's her who ends up lost

Old habits die hard
Make her see this is her last card
She can choose to play, or leave the game
But this violence she must learn to tame

Please daddy, keep them safe
Do not let my siblings become waif
I can't stand to see them in pain
You just sit there, so inane

Save them from her drunken slur
Only support can be a cure
Make it matter what they think
Don't let this family sink.

... Just don't let her pick up one more drink.

Flawless Imperfections

Deviously she steps forward, trying to hide every true feature

Plastic covering the true pores, and what wasn't covered was hidden.

The real truth is that she is the fakest of the truth creatures

Being real and unforgiving with imperfections is forbidden

She will make everything real about herself perfect; presentable

This creature refuses to be judged, and refuses to be ignored

But above all she refuses to become like the other girls; dispensable

So she covers up every real feature, to reach perfection; a disease that cannot be cured.

Farewell Numbness

Listen to the sound of my heart, pounding
Emotions sparking in my veins, astounding
One simple touch from you, electric shock
And I was so sure I had my heart on lock
You snuck in and found the key
Found a way to set my emotions free
Now what is to become of me?
You stole my heart, and now you flee
When I think of you, my head spins
Your voice can make my strong will bend
How am I to love again?
You stole the key, immortal sin
One and only, you said yourself
Forever and ever, through sickness and through health
You are gone, love turned to betrayal
How foolish I was, because I fell
Still I'll remember those days together
I'll pray that you'll look up the definition of "forever"
Bring back my heart and the key
I'll put myself on lock again, never free
Emotions held tightly on a string
Because without you, no emotions bring
No happiness, no faith, no loneliness, no ache
You stole my heart, so there's nothing to break
Numbness is the only thing that prevails
I just hope there's never a day when the numbness fails
I will soon become derailed
Lunatic heartache if the numbness bails.
.

Desire

Sapphire eyes

In the cover of night

Nothing is okay

Without you

The darkness possessed

Whiteness of her dress

Flowing is the fire

Destroyed desire

Crush

Curiosity led me in your direction

What made me stay? Your affections.

Never breaking my spirit, only silencing my voice.

Getting rid of the walls around my heart, losing my poise.

What do I do with these long lost emotions?

I've always had a trust problem, a problem with devotions.

I promise to try my best to be there for you.

But I can't guarantee anything permanent, only true.

We can attempt at this if you so decide.

You'll see me in a different light, an entirely different side.

Teach me to trust again, and I'll be here as long as you want me.

Teach me to love again, and I'll thank the fact that you set me free.

Threatening Desires

Ripped, tattered, uselss wings

Cravings denied, heartless beings

Happiness was finally reached

Then you take her, ecstacy leeched

Gleaming smirks now faded frowns

Two for him, one for me

Loveless hate, can't you see?

Pain prevented, if only you cared

Instead you lash out, weapons bared

Multiple lives you would of saved

If only, if only, you had stayed

Reflections

Look at me

Looking at you

Looking at me

          What do you see?

Beauty in the ripples

Shame in the silver

Hate in the fractured

How does it make you feel?

Pride in the skin

Pain in the eyes

Denial in the truth

What are you going to do?

Change who you are

Defeat what you're not

          Maybe next time

You'll like what you see

When you look at me

Looking at you

Looking at me
