Spring Tornado

Walking in the fields,
looking at the fresh
yellow daffodils- "Mmm,"
What a beautiful scent.

Gazing, looking out at
the mountain top,
wondering, what could
be on the other side?

Clouds burrowing,
gray and black,
moving closer and closer,
"What's going on here?"

Moments later,
it rips through,
splitting, pounding the
mountaintop in half!

What was that?
"Oh God, a TORNADO!"
Can I escape in time...?
Closer and closer,
it starts whirling,
spinning in the fields,
like a top.

Within 20 minutes,
the fields are bare and burnt,
yellow daffodils vanished,
and the beautiful scenic mountaintop,
in ruin-crumpled,
to little pebble-like stones.

The power of nature...,
some Spring Tornado!
