Agonizing Love

Sharp Pains in my chest
a fire started in my throat
the sting of torment inmy eyes
a weary feeling in my heart

those last few words
that horrid look
the bitter sound of your voice
is torture to my ears

a hammer to my heart
a bullet to the brain
can someone please stop him
from causing me this pain?

I promise to never do this again
if I knew that this would happen
it never would have started
I never would have loved you.

I can't hold up any longer
I'm falling out of love.
is this how heartbreak feels?
it hurts...
I'll never love again.

Fantasy

Did you really just talk to me?
Or was it just my mind
hoping that you would?

It does that sometimes.
Picture you coming up to me
instead of the other way around.

I crave your attention
or for a look in my direction
anything that shows some affection.

Nerves need to calm down
We haven't even touched
You barely even spoke.

How is it?
That I can give so much
to you without you noticing?

You tend to glance my way
and I raise an eyebrow
and smile a bit but

Will you ever feel for me
the way I feel for you
or is it just a fantasy?

Words

The words of lovers
take them far.
The words of liars
leave them at the bar.

The words of mothers
soothe the heart.
The words of fathers
strengthen the weak.

The words of friends
can make us laugh.
The words of enemies
can tear us down.

The words of God
give us faith.
The words of the Devil
bring us hate.

Words to the wise,
It's sometimes best
to not use words at all.

Oh You

Since I first laid eyes on you
I knew for sure what it was.
The smile on your face
it brings me warmth.

The look of adventure on your face
brought me pleasure.
And your sense of determination
I crave in myself.

We grew older
at 13 years old.
The same smart look in your eyes
almost brings me to my knees.

We grow older still
When our eyes meet I nearly die.
Your touch makes me tense
and your voice soothes me.

Oh you
Heave tamed the beast.
I think at 16
I know a little bit about
What I want when we're even older.

Oh you
who never leaves my mind.
Oh you
who I never want to leave my side.

Come closer to me
I don't bite now
I can't make any promises
Well only if you'd like me to.

The Man At the Corner

The man at the corner
is waiting for me.
He is standing there
extremely patiently.

I see him
in a dark brown coat.
Which compliment
his chocolate brown eyes.

The bright red roses in his hand
I can see from down the block.
He looks down at his watch
and notices that I am late.

I start to walk a little faster.
My heels click upon the sidewalk.
He looks up into my eyes
And he smiles as he walks towards me.

A deafening screech
brings us to a halt.
A flash of red
drenches me in filth.

His eyes open wide
and he walks towards me.
The red flash comes faster and
plows over the man.

He keeps driving
into the building.
I sprint to the man
Who is dying before my eyes.

I softly lift his head
And he looks into my eyes.
Coughs a little blood
and says the words I love you.

The words leave my mouth as well
with tears down my cheeks.
As his eyes roll back into his head
I kiss him on the lips.

Tears break out once more
As he is put into the ground.
The ring on my left hand
I'm twisting nervously around.

I cry at the diamond
and curse that I was late.
For if I wasn't
he would have lived.

The man at the corner was my husband
waiting there for me
He was standing there
extremely patiently.
