Looking For Me

Silken lips, so velvet. Eyes a wolf desires.
Touch so full of meaning, all of time transpires.
Heat so full of passion, smile instills delight,
This heart longs each second, to be that lucky Mr. Right.

The Gambler

In the rat infested basement
Of a gambler and his greed
guilty buckets of ashamedness
Catch what his heart will bleed

Though he may have loved another
His emotion's sometimes mixed
For it's the romance of casinos
Where he needs to get his fix

A barrage of useless numbers
Flow thickly through his mind
As he deciphers the statistics
Of who will win this time

And later on you'll see him sweating
Every game that he will watch
Profanities under his breath
As he shoots another Scotch

For his outfielder makes an error
His quarterback gets sacked
He needs but half a point
For the over that he lacks

And if it doesn't turn out too well
Don't step in his way
Let him calm himself tonight
For tomorrow's another day

Apart

I know you are with me,
Each time I hold your thought,
We could part a million miles,
I know you'll answer what I've sought.
But to hear your voice is bliss,
Unlike I have ever known,
A connection to this Love,
That within me you have grown.
And how this ever happened,
I do not give a whim,
For I know I'm deserving,
Of this Love that you've let in.
And it may be a moment,
Or it may be years to come,
Each case I'm always thankful,
For with you to be one...

Broken

It's a door without a handle
A black that looks so white
Opaque that you can see through
Mirror that won't reflect the light

It's the answer of no problem
The receiver of no pass
The beauty of a face
That's been dragged through broken glass

It's a child without a mother
A boat without a sail
The ever-prompt payment
Of a check that's "in the mail"

It's the openness and freedom
Of being locked-up in a cage
Only love can calm the madness
Of a broken heart in rage

Encompass

You encompass, soft and furiously, the depths within my soul,
With a touch you transfer me, to places I don't even know,
But their vibration is so beautiful, that it's etched within my mind,
For you're the dream now manifest, that I've always hoped to find.

Touch me and the sparks are fireworks in the sky,
Kiss me and the birds sing a precious lullaby,
Anoint me and the passion burns within this heart for you,
Love me, for each time, always is brand new...

All these words are crippled, they cannot hold a light,
To describe my feelings surging when your beauty's in my sight,
But I do know that you also feel my passion emanate,
Its in your smile, and in your kiss, and in this Love that we create....

Missed

Scenarios of your sweet love,
Inject into my veins,
A warming overwhelms me,
I'm dripping from your rain.
So far beyond nirvana,
So close to being one,
A stillness of the heart,
That cannot be undone.
Frantically I reach out,
But can only grasp your thought,
But there is no uncertainty,
For I'm happy to have caught,
The knowing that you feel this,
Just like I want you to,
This spiral into passion,
Into love, and into you.
I want to hold you like I would,
If I was really there,
Heal you from this mundane,
Drama that you bear,
And etch those gorgeous lips,
Against these ones of mine,
And wallow in this vineyard,
That escapes both place and time...

Gone

Sensitivity is astute,
My intuition's on,
I normally see right through,
Every aspect going on...

But infatuation comes,
And blinds me by it's light,
Causes me to trust,
When there is no trust in sight...

I understand the Oneness,
That together we all feel,
So cannot understand,
Dichotomy that was made real...

Well meant tokens of affection,
Dreams of sharing a new life,
Hours teasing on the phone,
All taken by the knife...

Kisses, hearts and chocolate,
Desire that wanted more,
The foundation of a heart,
Now shattered on the floor...

But what you failed to see,
Is that this was your heart too,
And though I may forgive,
This trust can never be renewed...

Be My Bad Dream

She was a bad dream. She was the kind that made you vulnerable, even on your own turf. She was the beautiful wave that came sailing across the ocean uninhibited, for miles and miles, and then comes crashing into YOU, The Shore.

Such a combination of sand and water only can make one thing, MUD.

"Mis-Understood Devotion." And that is the glass that these types of things CANNOT SHATTER. There is a realization that there IS a connection. There is the realization that the connection is NOT NOW. But there is STILL the REALIZATION... And the realization is LOVE. Across all bounds, all matter, all time, space, events and thoughts.... And it's in this light that I feel...and I visualize, and that I wonder about this faith that I KNOW so much I have...

And realize that you have already had your bearing upon me, you have had that feather touch, that one saying that I would always remember, again... and again... and AGAIN...

"Would you like to dance?"...
And I would whisper...
"It would be my pleasure..."

Wanting

I Knew if I had ever "wanted"
It would be plain as day to see,
That it's love would encompass,
All these things you are to me.

And it would be so much like courage,
Unshakable, unbound,
And I would bask within the Sunlight,
Of this soulmate that I've found.

And we may not be perfect,
But that defines just who we are,
We may not always see the path,
Or always see the Star.

But we do lean on each other,
And feel the comfort that we share,
Helps broaden our horizon,
Helps focus how we care,

And its in this precious moment,
That our two hearts become one,
And the Love is spread to others,
And cannot be undone,

For this is not a "fate",
Or a "chance" like it may seem,
This is you and I,
Fulfilling what it is we've dreamed...

Crossing

Can't you see that there are tears,
Etching streams down sunken cheeks,
Hiding hopelessly,
Behind this mask that doesn't speak.

Won't you take this hand still trembling,
And soothe it's icy touch,
Anoint it with the passion,
Of a love it needs so much.

Won't you thread devoted warmth,
Through this needle of concern,
Cause the winds of hope,
To once again return.

For I've seen you in the distance,
Barefoot in grass of dew,
And I was hoping that my path,
Might be crossing there with you.
