Slavery

Jamaicans should know their country’s history
Imperialism, European Colonialism, Indentureship as well as African slavery
Centuries ago when our ancestors were trapped in misery
The days when our country was once ruled by the Spaniards
Natives of Spain
Dela Vega city, Sevilla la Nueva are few cities remembered in our brain
They tortured the peaceful Amerindians with hard labour and pain
We should always remember the days when our country was governed by the British colony
A country that trapped our ancestors in agony
Once ruled by the mother country England
White slave masters force their traditions, values and culture on our land
We fought for justice
We fought for freedom
We fought for the end of slavery
All of these were done through our national hero’s courage and bravery.

The World

Born in a world of sin
A world filled with evil from the very beginning,
Greediness and selfishness,
With the existence of poverty, unemployment, crime and disease
Caused by our own human nature,
An inevitable cycle that continues from the past to the present future
Due to the prevalence of social class segregation,
Whereby the lower, middle and upper class fights for social status elevation
In order to achieve upward social mobility,
These social classes will fight in pain and hostility,
An ideology of who is best suited to reach the top
With one class that is, (proletariat) continued to be oppress,
While the bourgeoisie continues to be the dominant class to reap success,
A society filled with greed and self-interest
Every person wants that recognition,
They will always battle each other to reject sorrow and oppression,
That’s the reason why the world will always remain in war, famine and terror
Due to human beings error,
A world divided in segments of continent,
With different nation or countries having differentiated political style of government,
As well as structure, numerous types of culture and upcoming new subculture,
With every one wanting that one thing riches, prestige and fame,
A reward which symbolizes their name.

Capitalist

A world ruled only by capitalist’s ideology,
The proletariat continues to adhere to their beliefs and philosophy
A society with one world order,
An the existence of a social class border,
Oppression and depression that’s what the poor cry
One ruler with one suggestion,
An entire nation with a level of high economic suppression.

The Caribbean

small islands surround by the caribbean sea
from the greater and lesser antilles
Jamaica, Haiti, Cuba, Guyana just to name a few
the place where tourist comes to see the caribbean view
music, beaches, sports our culture they come to see
from that hard labour they want to be free.

Show Me Your Love

Dance along with me
utter that special word you love me
give my eyes, your cunning smile
show me you care, even if its just for a while
fill my empty-heart with your deep surprise,
then afterwards shade me from that hot sunrise,
be my strength, the remedy to my health
be my treasure, that luxurious wealth.

My Heart Is Closed

My heart is closed and will never open again, because it have been hurt it have been stifled
by whom? a girl I thought was precious to me, played me and tarnish my heart and reputation
I know it is not right for revenge but for the fortunate things I have done for her
will not go in thoughts or memories but will surely be avenged
she broke my heart
she threw away my love
I thought she was my desire
she who I aspire
love sometimes can be a heart-ache but what she have done to me should be termed as cruelty, sadness
which have lead my love in darkness
never to love again
from here my love has decayed "HOOPS" it has rotten, vanquish never again to return to the bright light
a love that has now hidden behind a shield, can you believe this? so many times have been wasted
for who?
a girl who used my love for her own purpose
my love was just for her
just for her
and look what happen I am in pain
a loss received no gain
it's over the truth is no longer concealed your lying has now been revealed
do you know how I really feel?
a heart broken
a love that will never be the same
shove away by you in disgrace and shamed, all along you were using me as your toy, your little puppet
your self-driven casino game, there is no one to blame
but myself
who became blind by love from the beginning
and was quite foolish to see this not coming, you rip my heart apart
then you quickly took away yourself like a plane you depart
you broke my heart when the moving vehicles collide
which signaled that your fake love would slide
from the start you knew what you were doing you slowly plan a plot
and quickly took your stride
yes! you have surely won, you have taken away my pride
GOODBYE! it's sad to know my love has died.

If Only You Could Understand

If only you could read the unspoken words in my mouth
then your thoughts of loving me would have no doubts
if only you could understand my precious love
base on those words stated above
if only you could understand it's hard to explain,
then you would not complain,
if only you could understand that you are my sunshine when it rains,
then you will see that my love for you still remains,
if only you could understand that you are my heart-beat,
then your frustrated love would not cry beneath,
if only you could understand that you are my red-rose,
then you will see that my love for you serves a purpose,
if only you could understand this perfect happiness my heart so much want
then you will see that you are the seed to my ungrown plant.

If only you could understand that my love is always here
then your affection will go no where
if only I could whisper in one ear
then your love will show no fear
if only you could understand that you are my rainbow
the fruit, the trees grow
then you will see that my love for you, will stay high and not low
if only you could understand that you are my wealthy surplus
then you will see that my love for you is surely a plus.

My Love

My oath is to love you, the same way you love me
you are my all, my everything, my entrusted desire
the hope in me, the prize of my heart
a devoted that existed from the start
that will be forever and not the past
the girl of my heart, the future of my life
loving you I must and I will, for this dedicated love to remain still
to make the smile in your fufill

Though I maybe futile in my speech
I will not be incompetent to murmur how I feel
that my committed love is tightened for you in seal
an everlasting that is worthwhile,
will enlighten my love for you in a pure-hearted smile.
