I Made Love To God

"Excuse me" I said with a smile.

The lady turned and looked at me for a while.

She opened her mouth about to say... But I didn't give her chance, I turned away.

That lady? I thought, she seemed rather odd

With a little less make-up I'd have said it was god.

The following day I went for a walk

I saw the same lady, she wanted to talk.

I became very nervous, all I could manage was a smile and a nod.

Before I knew it what started as a walk had turned into a jog.

That lady? I thought, she seemed rather odd

With a little less swagger I'd have said it was god.

Just a week later I took a short break,

I was trekking through forests and swimming in lakes.

Whilst in the forest I heard a sweet song,

I followed the sound then all of a sudden, the voice, it was gone.

That voice? I thought, it seemed rather odd,

With a little less soul I'd have said it was god.

My adventure had ended, soon I was home

There was a note on my door reading 'dont stay here alone'

So I wandered and wandered with nowhere to go

When all of a sudden a voice said 'hello'.

It was that lady again, all dressed in White

She looked like an angel glowing so bright.

She smiled at me and took my hand,

Then whispered in my ear 'welcome to the promise land'.

That lady? I thought, she seems rather odd

But the love we just made, I know it was god.

Shes Always Given Me Butterflies

I’d only have to look at her or touch her softest skin,
the tingles and the butterflies would always flutter within

Then something changed, in her not me, but the butterflies they did not leave.

Now when I see or speak to her,
the butterflies remain,
instead of love and happiness they cause anxiety and pain.

I guess these butterflies will always stay deep inside,
But for now they’ll rest until I find,
another soul who can make them fly.

Lost Love

Good morning she says, my heart it sings.

She kisses me, my heart it sings.

She holds my hand, my heart it sings.

Na night she says, my heart it sings.

I dream of her, my heart it sings.

I wake up alone, my heart it stings.
