Betrayed

Sit and stare

no more words

cannot bare

here again

guess the only one

who ever needed me

who ever missed me

who ever loved me

was pain

well, it asked me

for my hand in marriage

I think I will say yes

because no amount of

wishing, hoping, or crying

will ever make it go away

maybe if I love it

it will

Tears of a Storm

As the sun sets upon her
the mountainous valley calls
her name of Christ and glory
her eyes glitter in the falls
they appear in the mist of light
though her eyes are filled with gloom
the heavens await her above
above higher than the moon
she tried for this not to show
she tried to get rid of it from inside
but the anger was too deep
a part of her had died
the day of light had passed
the night had come from far
the sky was lit up with beautiful stars
the wind got harsh and cold
the clouds were moving in
the rain started to fall
this was a sign of sin
she looked up in the sky
she begged to keep her warm
she slowly got up in her own Tears of a Storm

A Mother's Love

You turn your back and roll your eyes
I fix your collar and try to make you smile
I have so much love inside
never ending like the heights of the sky
bright like the stars that used to shine in your eyes
everyone wants for their own
fading into the darkness
until they're back where they belong
I just want to cry
I find a way to go on
find a way to be strong
find a way to bring life in my heart
when half of it is gone
you forget where you came from
you're so far from home
what happens if evil finds you?
he'll come as a sheep
a wolf is inside him
he'll come as your friend
then slither behind you
my instincts kick in
will they save you or drown you?
Im not sure of much now
but one thing is certain
a mother's love
runs deeper than the ocean

Beauty Is

Beauty is the olive tree
where patience lays
it is a rainbow
the promise of a new day
it is a child
untainted untouched
free from hatred and lust
beauty is an old woman
in a time of need
and a hand reaches out
to help cross the street
it is a man full of strength
bowing down to the meek
its the loud and obnoxious
and a moment of peace
it is the proud soldier
giving up his knife
It Is A Good Shepard
Laying Down His Life
Beauty Is Everywhere
