Do you have a clue,
What that person sitting on the curb is going through,?
Did you give him a smile, wave, or even say hello,?
Or, did you just ignore him and drive away as fast as you could go,?..
The dude has no home, no food to eat,
But does that cross your mind when that rush hour traffic you're trying to beat,?
Do you justify your actions by considering him a slob,?
Because he sits on that curb while you're off to your cush job,..
You look at him with such disgrace,
All because he has dirt on his face,
While your at home in your nice hot shower,
He's no-where to go so he just sits on that curb hour after hour,..
You will have a nice dinner at your table,
But tonight this fellow won't be able,
It's way below zero outside and you're in your nice warm bed,
But the guy on the curb can't stay warm for he is found the next morning frozen, Dead,..
If in the beginning you'd have given him a smile,
He may have gone another mile,
If you would of given him a wave,
He would of thought someone cared and not be headed to his grave,..
You could of offered him a seat at your table and given him a hot meal,
But, since you judged him to be a slob with no job you figured he'd steal,
If you'd of offered him a nice hot shower and a nice change of clothes,
He would of been more like you, I suppose,..
Except for a few facts like your wife isn't yet home from work,
His wife's neck in a tragedy snapped with a jerk,
She died at the scene,
When their car slid into a ravine,..
Your children are in their beds upstairs,
His two children passed away a week after their mother in spite of all his prayers,
Yes the man on the curb had a story,
One that with a little help from you could of been used for Gods glory,..
He lived, he loved, he married the woman of his dreams,
He laughed, he had two great kids,he wasn't a slob like you thought, everything is not what it seems,...

You can't rule me devil nor tell me what to do,
For I am a child of God I don't belong to you,
Yes, I've followed my own will and done some of your evil work,
But, now I know you're nothing but a jerk,...
You're nothing but a piece of dirt on my floor,
So get under my feet devil for I'm not taking anymore,
I've let you get me down almost as low as I could get,
And you were pretty convincing at times I must admit,...
Telling me I did'nt need Jesus to survive,
You're a liar satan, you're dead to me my Lord is alive,
I can't believe how I fell for your lies,
All looking good and in disguise,...
You tried to tell me on receiving salvation, "I could wait",
You said your road was wide and that I was too fat to fit through Gods' narrow gate,
Even though for a while I was led by you on a pull string,
God still loves me just the way I am it ain't no thing,...
Jesus was bruised for my iniquity he died for my sin,
So it's like this devil, "you're out", Jesus is in,
It's going to be a great day when you have to bough and confess,
And you're finally put in your place and paying for all your mess,...

I had a pulse and a beating heart,
Yet you chose for my life not to start,
How could you have been so careless as to conceive me,
Make me think I'd dwell with you here on earth only to deceive me,..
You would have been so mesmerized,
By what you would have seen in these newborn eyes,
There's not a feeling that even begins to compare in this world,
Do you ever even wonder If I'd have been a boy or a girl,?..
I'm sorry mommy that we never formally met,
I'm sad for you though because even though you never knew me you won't ever fully forget,
I'm here in heaven mommy with my king,
He loves me like I would have loved you mommy more than anything,..
I forgive you though mommy with all my little heart and soul,
Please seek my king mommy for he alone can fill the hole,
The one that grows immensley each time you shed those tears from lack of peace and joy,
Remember mommy only my king Jesus can dry them and make it better well gotta go now, "love me your Baby Boy,.....

Married and together yet I'm lonely as hell,
Will things ever get better it is sure hard to tell,
From where I stand things get worse everyday,
I think I'm ready to throw in the towel, let you be, and go my seperate way;
I've tried and tried to talk to you,
But there's just no getting through,
You never admit to any wrong,
So it's time we say so long;
If now you were to say you'd like to work it out,
There's just too much doubt,
You're efforts would just be in vain,
Too little, too late, and way too much pain;
I no longer want to even try,
I've wasted a lot of feelings on you, WHY,?
It's been 8 years and you're never going to truly love me,
Go have a great and blessed life, you're FREE;
All I ever wanted was to love you,
It used to be so easy to do,
But, you have become someone I totally don't know,
So now you have finally got what you want I'm letting you go;...

The moon lights up the night,
The sun lights up the day,
You light up my fire,
In every single way;
The clouds give us rain,
The trees give us shade,
You give my life meaning,
Not a second of it would I trade;
A house puts a roof over our heads,
A car gets us where we need to go,
You give me security,
For that I love you so;
You can buy things at a store,
You can sell them there too,
When it comes to the one thing you can't buy "LOVE",
I'm the richest in the world because i'm loved by you,

No matter what I do,
I can't get through to you
And, it doesn't matter what I say,
Everything has to go your way,...
There's no way to make you see,
How much you've disappointed and hurt me,
Someday you're going to feel what I feel,
And, believe me when it's your heart at stake the pain is very, very real,...
I can't even begin to measure the pain,
And all of this mess is driving me insane,
Everyday I fill more and more with doubt,

There are many ways,
To express ones' appreciation these days,
There are poems, letters,and, thank you notes,
There are cards, and, yes even silly little quotes;
But no matter how we choose to start,
It needs to be a thank you from the heart,
Anybody can speak their mind,
There are very few who can speak from the heart and they are hard to find;
I have chosen to write on this paper with this pen,
To express the appreciation I have for you deep with-in,
To let you know how much I love, respect, and appreciate you is my goal,
Not only from my heart but, from the very depth of my soul;
You are the most giving person I've ever met,
And, everything you've done I shall never forget,
I said all that to say "THANK YOU" for a great thanksgiving 2007,
Believe me when I say there is a special place for you in heaven;.........

In the beginning love is peachy and grand,
But, in the end it's nothing like you planned,
In the beginning it's kisses and hugs,
in the end it's bad looks and shrugs,...
In the beginning your journey is infallible and headed for a perfect destination,
In the end you get very little respect and less consideration,
In the beginning it's dinner, the movies, and holding hands,
In the end you're feeling as if you're all alone and you think no-one understands,...
In the beginning it's kisses goodbye,
In the end you're the one hurting and left alone to cry,
In the beginning it's "oh, we'll always be husband and wife",
In the end you're wondering "why did I waste all those years of my life",....

It still makes my heart melt,
Every time we touch,
I only wish you felt 1/2 of what I felt,
Then I would'nt hurt so much,
No matter how much I tell my heart,
Everything is gonna work out,
It feels us drifting apart,
And fills my head full of doubt,
Every part of my being,
Wants for us to be okay,
But my eyes just are'nt seeing,
Things like back in the day,
I know life is'nt a fairy tale,
And things are always better when new,
But something made us quickly go stale,
Its just that your love for me never grew,
Blame each other we won't,
That to either of us would'nt be fair,
Its as simple as 123 if you don't you don't you just don't,
Easy as abc if its not there its just not there;
I'm handling it better,
Since I finally reached a conclusion,
Now the truth fits like a snug sweater,
And I no longer have the illusion,
The one where we'd always be together,
And become husband and wife,
Happy and loving forever,
For the rest of my life,

You always manage to justify,
Making me feel this way,
You don't care about how nor why,
And you've always got to have the last say;
You know nothing about women at all,
You know even less about me,
While it's okay to stand proud it's not good to stand to tall,
And, because you say you love me "how I feel" is what your main concern should be;
You're the man here,
The stronger of us two,
You should want to console me if it would stop but one falling tear,
The only time you say what you feel is when we argue;
Then you only grab my emotions out of the air,
And you use my own pain against me to win a fight,
"Get your own damned emotions" fighting mine with mine is'nt really fair,
But, I guess whatevers whatever when you have to be right;
I always pour my heart out,
Only to be the one left crying,
Why must you fill my head full of doubt,
Sometimes it feels as if I'm the only one trying;
I know what you're thinking right now,
You're thinking ("I don't care"),("do what you gotta do"),("go ahead and leave"),
The fact that you can let me go so easily proves you don't care anyhow,
Your negative words don't hurt as bad as they used to on that you can trust and believe;
I'm gonna put this to an end,
With all that being said,
Just want to say "it's getting harder to pretend",
That we don't need to pull this thing back together we're barely hanging on by a thread;....
