If My Heart Had a Voice

If my heart had a voice you would hear the words my nerve will not allow me to speak

If my heart had a voice you would know how often you consume, dwell in my thoughts

If my heart had a voice you would know how I yearn to become acquainted with the
gentleness of your touch, warmth of your kiss

If my heart had a voice you would know my fantasies, musings, no longer would they be confined existing only in my mind

My Wish

To hold
To be held

To need
To be needed

To love
To be loved

Intimacy, oneness

War

I've notice how our eyes always seem to meet. No matter how many are in a room my eyes always seemed to find yours.

I've tried hard to ignore my feelings, but the harder I tried to fight it, the more it became a losing battle.

I finally stopped fighting and the war was over.

The Man of My Dreams

The man of my dreams stands beside me, he compliments me, not only by flattery.
He understands me, he gets me, he accepts me as I am.

He makes me feel loved and wanted, his actions speaking to me louder than his words.
He shares his passions and dreams with me, he doesn't promise a relationship free of obstacles and challenges, but one with love and commitment.

The man of my dreams isn't a perfect man, he doesn't have to stand 6'1 or be a perfect 10. He doesn't have to drive a flashy car or throw his money around to win my heart, his character and who he is is what matters to me.

The man of my dreams is out there somewhere, I will be waiting patiently until the day he finds me.

The Woman

Tear down these walls I hide behind, revealing the depth of the woman inside.
Complicated I seem to be, there's no secret, no hidden key to unlock the mystery.
Mesmerized, captivated by the woman you see, my charm, my wit will become infectious to you, all without you knowing how it came to be.

Comforter

You are always there when I need to talk, to listen on those days I'm feeling alone and blue.
In your solace I find serenity and peace, you guide me in the right direction, putting an end to the tears my pillow captures.
You help me silence my doubts and fears, opening my mind to positive thoughts and a soothing calmness within.
When I kneel to pray each night, I thank you for all the blessings you've sent me way.

My Heart

Heaven hear my heart as it cries out to you
Lift the clouds, the rain, the burdens that fall upon me
Take away the endless days, the sleepless nights, the continuous ache
Heaven hear my heart as it cries out to you

Late Nights

Late at night when I'm alone with my thoughts, I write
I write about what's on my mind or what may be troubling me
I write about people around me, how easily I can be touched by people in need
or someone who may need a shoulder to cry on or a voice encouragement telling them everything will be alright
I write about my life, the challenges, disappointments, some leaving behind scars that are slow to heal or may never will
I write about love, awaiting that special someone lurking in the shadows, the one god has created just for me
I write as an outlet, an expression, or a getaway, where on paper my mind is free to race, to take me where anything is possible.....in my dreams

Love

Images, traces of your face linger in mind
The sound of the warmth in your voice stays with me
Your scent, fragrance seem to travel with me
My thoughts haunted, filled only with you

Broken-Hearted

One day at time I made it though

It's taken longer than I thought to get over you

Like watching sand flow through an hour glass, I want my broken heart to heal, to move forward from the past

For you heart does not listen to you, it does exactly what it wants to do
