Low Beam

This low beam flies high
Searching for news in the skies
The answers drown only to come back around through the glow of simplicity sticks
and
Downtown vintage tricks
and
She’ll remain rain with drops of blame to entertain that
Lack
and you know how hard the mother fought to bring that flower back.

Seeds
and
Pleads
She watered guilt
Spilt
From her eyes

Planting and panting away her demise
Under attack
The light slumbered under sound
The poison grew dark

Red
Spread
Rapidly

Down

This love that you spoke of has fallen apart!
She shouts.
She failed to sprout!

Broken token of unspoken deeds and doubts!

This low beam flies skies
Looking for broken souls in the night
The distance travels slow growing old
and
On these streets
These pricy streets
and
On these streets
Excess meat
and
Simple strangers nod
Believe in my God!
and
They’re all pretending to know who you are.

Acknowledgement well spent
The cracked pavement reflecting his payment
and
Broken down sins
He don’t shake
The grin.

He packs.
And you know how hard the soldier fought to bring that flower back.

This low beam flies
and
Illusions rush
and
Make you touch
and
Breathe what isn’t

This low beam flies
and
Reality plunders
and
Makes you wonder
and
Breathe what is.
