I Thank You Mom

A lady I love went away not so long ago,
I sit & weap for I never got to say farewell,
It's raining now & it hides my tears for her, she was a very special being;
She touched so many in so many ways.

She was my friend, my light my Mother,
now she is my beaken of light that guides me & will bring me home to her side again,
I wonder if she sees the true love that fills my heart, Also i wonder if she is at
peace?

She did so many selfless things in life & in death that were & are a testament to her;
giving ways, In her passing she is still teaching & giving to others.

I've always thought of her as an angel and now she truely has her wings,
She sits & watches over us in hopes thatour lives will be long & full of love.

I miss her so much & love her for the loving way she poesses, for the gift of life,
for the passion she had for life,
In my life I've been through some hard times but she with a smile & a kind word;
Always pulled me thorugh.

I THANK YOU MOM!!!

Stand Tall

Addicted & sick is what I was just over three years ago,
What life had in store for me how could I know,
Just what would I do now; where did I have to go?

If I was to save my life and have one worth living I'd have to kick the drugs,
To stay clean I'd have to stop selling them; stop acting like a common thug.

It took me incarceration to get clean,
If you are an addict it takes what it takes;
You know what I mean.

The fact that I stopped using drugs was not by any will of my own at all,
It takes more than will alone; it take dedication you have to be in it for the long hall,
If I ever get cocky or complacent I'll be destend to fall,
With the support of others and a power greater than self;
I can walk the walk hold my head up and stand tall...

Why Hurry

Everyone seams to be in such a hurry,
Here, There and Back with no direction they scurry,
About thier loved ones, friends, and selves do they worry.

So lost in thier own lives are they,
Rushing about day after day.

Forgotten about words like please, thank you, & excuse me,
why are you in my way don't you it's all about me.

Beeping thier horns as they drive down the street,
If you come to close to them they tread on your feet,
Just can't take the time to a stranger greet.

Rush, rush, rush to get to thier destination,
They will step over or around you without hesitation.

Why hurry through life it's short enough,
Why live your life like it's a rush,
Take in all the things that you can see, hear, and touch.

For life is not a race to see who will win,
Just take the time to look back over your sholder & see where you have been,
Life is ment to be enjoyed for the journey not hurried to the end...
