Glass Half Empty

What I see behind these

Tears inside my eyes

Love finds me in hiding

I can’t escape if I tried

From the end to see then

The way you treated me

Your friends say you need him

To be the way you use to be

I’m looking from a glass half empty

How can we look at things better

With a glass half empty

When will we solve our problems just to be together

If a glass is half empty

What lies in time withholds our future forever

As this glass is half empty

As our love has grown

To see mistakes you’ve made

I’ve tried and tried

To accept every time you apologize

But I know things won’t change

They’ll just remain the same

If I can find myself

Seeking my identity

Without love, living without trust

The pain is no friend to me

God Be With Me

If you take the time, to get on your hands and knees

You will embrace the vision that God had planned to see

Listen for His calling, to make a sacrifice

For He lay His spirit on the cross when he had to die

Everybody this is the season

To allow God’s grace be the reason

Shower over your head when you see Him

I will tell you who to believe in

God

I ask you to be with me

You are what I truly need

As soon as you seem to see

Me in need of your blessing

I live my days and nights, only to spread the word

Know that the Lord gives you no less that you deserve

To make a step closer, and trust your problems in His hands

Realize that God is awesome, and he solved them in advance

If

If you think you are beaten, you are.

If you think you dare not, you don’t

If you like to win but think you can’t,

It’s almost a cinch you won’t.

If you think you’ll lose, you’re lost.

For out in the world we find

Success begins with a fellow’s will

It’s all in the state of mind.

If you think you are outclassed, you are.

You’ve got to think high to rise.

You’ve got to be sure of yourself before

You can ever win the prize.

Life’s battles don’t always go

To the stronger or faster man.

But sooner or later,

The man who wins

Is the man who thinks he can.

A Father and a Friend

It seems like I owe you my life

More or less at least half of my time

To dedicate, a better way to express the way I feel

Maybe a walk, or maybe we can talk

About our relationship

You saved me since, I paid attention

And the spirit hasn’t escaped me since

If I had one last breath, I’d breathe again

If I had a moment to spend, I’d be with Him

As I’m prepared for when He comes

And save my life to live and trust

That God watches over me

As a father and a friend

When there are times I feel alone your there for me

While caught between a storm, there is relief

During the times I feel confused

Learning that life conceals its truth

Hoping a light reveals the root

And a way for me to see

I can talk to you in the morning while I’m awake

Or on vacation away from the pain I hide away

As my father and my friend

From all I depend in you

How could I replace

11:45

Almost 11:45

On this cold night we’d meet in the park

A reason to make things right

Between the spaces in our hearts

Close to 11:45

I see my breath in the air

How can I go on alone in my life

Without you even there

My footsteps trace over and over

The night is getting colder and colder

Time passing me by

I haven’t seen goodbye

Until after 11:45

It’s 11:45

Expecting love soon to see

Our past come back to life

A gift from you to me

Passing 11:45

Disappointment lies inside

Lonely tears flood my eyes

Because I never saw love tonight

She won’t answer her calls

She won’t come to her door

I thought I gave, this woman my all

Although her love demanded more

She won’t listen to me

She won’t give me a chance

By the time I realize love didn’t show

I was replaced by another man

She won’t answer her calls

She won’t come to her door

I thought I gave, this woman my all

Although her love demanded more

She won’t listen to me

She won’t give me a chance

By the time I realize love didn’t show

I was replaced by another man

Cutie and the Beast

I saw her again today

We passed with nothing left to say

Wish I’d turn back the hands of time

And say what my heart meant before yesterday

I feel as though the other man

Will take her for granted once again

If she could see inner beauty in me

I’d show her how my love can stand

This is a story of Cutie and the beast

A woman who is hurting from what she truly believes

How can I make her understand

That if she looked closer I’m someone who can

Bring out the best in her, from the beauty in me

My heart seldom falls apart

Looking for light, when love may seem dark

Loneiness could maybe go away

If their finish, would mean for us to start

A good man, rarely will come along

So rare if you blink once then he’s gone

Open your eyes and tell me what you see

Cutie this beast could bring a love as strong

There are many ways you can fall in love

My personality along with words I speak

Aside from looks, it is the feeling from their touch

Cutie I’m sure what you deserve assume it’s me
