Crystal's No Friend

There is in this world full of lies, fairy tales and pretend,
The undercover inspiration behind the words that I pen.
But don't be fooled by her right to the end,
Her codename is "Crystal" and she is no friend.

She seems to catch me at my most vulnerable hour,
When my life's in the toilet or a love's gone sour.
Run as I may, I could run all day,
From ocean to ocean and still not get away.

Good ole' Crystal's always there with a smile,
Waiting to decieve me at the last grueling mile.
But I didn't seem to mind for if the truth were truly told,
For her to the devil I nearly sold my soul.

A good 40 units and I was set to tweek,
Up six and down one was my plan for the week.
With one hand in my pocket and my eyes on the peek,
Crystal fueled my rocket and exposed my freak.

With one foot in the spoon and the other in the grave,
I'd shoot to the moon as I was enslaved.
But among the stars you can't hear the sounds,
Of so-called friends whispering all over town.

You see, in my house of pain all that really mattered,
Was finding a vein so I could go faster.
No question about it, Crystal was the master,
Of this geeked out, insane, sex-crazed disaster.

But low and behold, I'd return time and again,
To this heavenly blissful paradoxical sin.
Make no mistake, it's a game you can't win,
I'm a junkie, not a fool-CRYSTAL'S NO FRIEND.
