Am I Enough

AM I ENOUGH FOR YOU AM I YOUR ONE AND ONLY.

OR ARE YOU THE GOING TO BE LIKE THE REST.

WHO CARELESSLY PLAYS WITH MY HEART AND LEAVE A WHOLE IN MY CHEST.

AM I ENOUGH FOR YOU OR AM I JUST A TOY.

SOMETHING THAT YOU TAKE FOR GRANTED A SO- CALLED PRIDE AND JOY.

AM I ENOUGH FOR YOU OR IS THIS JUST SOMETHING TEMPORARY.

A LITTLE SOMETHING ON THE SIDE SOMETHING THAT YOU JUST WANT TO HIDE.

AM I JUST HOLDING ON TO NOTHING OR AM I HOLDING TO SOMETHING REAL.

AM I ENOUGH TO BE WIFE MATERIAL OR JUST A FLING.

AM ENOUGH TO BE SPORTING A DIAMOND RING.

WHO AM I TO YOU AM I MORE THAN WHAT YOU SAY OR AM I A SHADOW THAT YOU WANT TO JUST KEEP
AROUND.

WHO I AM TO YOU MORE THAN A VOLUMPTOUS WOMAN WITH BREASTS AND A BEHIND.

IS MY BEAUTY ALL THAT YOU CAN SEE OR IS IT MY INNER SPIRIT THAT GLOWS.

WHAT AM I TO YOU SOMEONE TO CARE FOR AND TO HOLD.

OR SOMEONE THAT IS HERE FOR YOU TO MOLD.

AM I ENOUGH FOR A PARTNERSHIP, A RELATIONSHIP AND COMPANIONSHIP.

OR WILL IT BE NOTHING MORE THAN A INSIDE THING OR LIKE THEY SAY IN THE STREETS
ON THE DOWN LOW.

WELL ONLY TIME WILL TELL WHAT THIS WILL BE

BETWEEN YOU AND ME.

Beautiful Underneath

Young girl can't you see your beauty and your worth you have so much to offer to
this world your beauty shines more than the diamonds and rubies combined why
are you hiding it under all this raggedy shoes.

Turn away all those blues and make something of yourself use that brain for some
knowledge and power.

You must not realize how much respect you can get with all that wisdom and how
much you can take with you.

Physical beauty may fade but your innner beauty will always be the same as long as
you allow it to stay that way be determined, be motivated and fight for what is
yours.

Don't you see what you are robbing yourself of the value of your worth and the
precious knowledge that lives in you the beauty that has been inherited in you
speak positive over yourself.

Speak love, speak joy, speak dominion, speak glory speak all of this in the name of
the Heavenly Father.

He will be your navigator, your rock and your protector.

So he will make this ride smooth sailing but remember that it may get bumpy along
the way but he will be there to help you get through it.

Wake Up World

HELLO WORLD I SEE YOU SHINING IN THE CLEAR BLUE SKY WAITING FOR THE CLOUDS TO CRY.

OH WORLD I KNOW THAT YOU HAVE NO CONTROL OVER WHAT HAPPENS TO YOU WITH ALL THE POLLUTION GOING ON INSIDE AND ALL AROUND YOU.

YOUR BEAUTY IS FADING AWAY WITH ALL THE VIOLENCE AND POLLUTION IN YOUR SURROUNDINGS.

I NEVER EXPECTED YOU TO COME TO THIS CONCLUSION BUT ONE DAY YOUR BEAUTY WILL SHINE ONCE AGAIN.

NO MORE GREEDY POLITICIANS,CROOKED MINISTERS OR CRIMINALS.

YOU WILL SHINE WITH RIGHTEOUS PEOPLE INSIDE OF YOU WHO WILL NEVER HARM YOU AND WILL LET YOUR BEAUTY FLOW WITH THE RIVERS.

PEACE AND HARMONY WILL SURROUND YOU IN ALL THAT YOU WERE MEANT FOR.

SO WAKE UP WORLD DO YOU SEE WHAT YOU ARE DOING TO MOTHER EARTH SHE IS CRYING ON THE INSIDE AND SCREAMING ON THE OUTSIDE FOR HER CHILDREN TO LOVE AND BE IN UNITY.

My Heritage and Culture

We have come a long way we have been fighting for centuries and decades to get
where we are.

Jim Crow and the Segregated south couldn't keep us down.

We fought to be equal by marching the streets of the south all the way to D.C.

Slavery may have tried to keep us down and make us give up.

But we held our heads up high and looked to the sky and Prayed to God to help us.

And he did he saw us through he made us stronger it was another's day journey
and we were glad about it.

My heritage enlightens me it inspires me to be a better person and to be my best.

My culture motivates to want more to educate the younger generation.

From the plantation to the white house we have come a long way.

To see the future through and have a brighter day.

The south thought they had us bound but they were wrong.

The Lord knew what he had in store for us all along.

He showed us the light............

And kept us through the night.

People like the Reverend Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are keeping the legacy
alive .

By making sure that we know our rights and get the respect we deserve.

I am enlightened by what Martin Luther, Malcolm X and Frederick Douglass did.

They were motivated even though they came from different backgrounds.

My ancestors pulled through so I could see something unique and divine.

Segregation turned into intergration Jim Crow evolved into the background paving
the way for Barack Obama to become president.

If only Jim Crow knew he paved the way for civil rights.

For marches upon Washington D.C. and for Lunch Counter Sit-ins.

All those hymns and Justice he paved the way for Rosa Parks to say enough is
enough.

To not give up her seat and to be treated as equal citizens.

My heritage and my culture breathes within me and I must keep the legacy going
strong.

All my days long.

Beautiful Inside and Out

Hello world here I am this is how it is going to go you accept me for who I am or you are not.

I am a child of God and I know for a fact that he made me in his own special way.

So sick and tired of people saying what is beautiful and what is not.

I am like a rose so delicate, soft and beautiful I shine like the sun with that special glow.

So sick and tired of the magazines saying that I have to be a size in order to be accepted.

I have to look like a movie star I have to have big breasts, a flat stomach and a big butt.

In order to be called beautiful I am a goddess anyhow I am a queen who shines with the stars who glows with the moon and who is beaming like the sun.

I am who I am and I refuse to change for anyone they are going to have to accept me for who I am or they are going to have to keep it moving.

I love who I am in this skin I am in this skin I shine in this skin I glow in this skin I am a child if God.

Fresh Air

A BREEZE OF A MORNING DEW THAT IS OH SO SWEET.

WHERE NATURE'S BEAUTY AND THE UNIVERSE MEET.

BIRDS CHIRPING A HARMONIUS MELODY FOR ALL THE WORLD TO HEAR.

WHERE ALL THE ANIMALS ARE HAPPILY NEAR.

FRESH AIR BREATH INTO MY LUNGS SO SWEETLY.

BRINGING ME AT EASE SO NEATLY.

THAT DEEPLY TOUCHED MY SOUL.

FEELING LIKE PURE GOLD.

NATURE IS EMBRACING MY FLESH AND NUTURING MY SPIRIT.

FRESH AIR CALLS MY NAME.

FOR I WILL NEVER BE THE SAME.

I AM UPLIFTING BY THE GLOW OF THE SUN.

FOR I HAVE ONLY JUST BEGUN.

THE SUNSET ARRIVES TO MAKE WAY FOR THE MOON AND HER STARS.

SHE IS NEAR AND NOT FAR.

FRESH AIR I CAN FEEL.

I TRULY KNOW THAT IT IS REAL.

Fallen Leaders

THEY WERE AN INSPIRATION TO US ALL THEY WERE MIGHTY AND THEY WERE STRONG.

THEY FOUGHT FOR EQUALITY AND FOR JUSTICE THEY PUT GOD FIRST IN EVERYTHING.
THEY DO.

THEY STOOD UP FOR WHAT THEY BELIEVED IN THEY DIDN'T TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER.

I SEE THEM AS MIGHTY MEN AND WOMEN WOULD NOT TAKE A BACK SEAT.

ONE MINUTE THEY WERE HERE BREATHING THE AIR OF LIFE THEY NEXT MINUTE THEY ARE TOUCHING THE GROUND ASLEEP IN THEIR COFFINS.

FOR IF THERE WERE NO WASHINGTON THERE WOULD NO LINCOLN, NO TEDDY,NO FDR, NO JFK, NO CLINTON.

IT WAS SUSAN B. ANTHONY WHO PAVED THE WAY FOR WOMEN SUCH AS GERALDINE FERRARO, NANCY PELOSI AND SO MANY OTHERS.

SHE PROVED THAT A WOMAN IS MORE THAN JUST A CHILDBEARER AND A MAID.

IF THERE WAS NO NAT TURNER THERE WOULD BE NO FREDERICK DOUGLASS, NO MARTIN LUTHER KING, NO MALCOLM X THEY WOULD BE NO OBAMA.

THEIR LEAGACY LIVES ON IN THE LEADERS WHO ARE IN THE MAKING INSPIRING US TO BE ALL WE CAN BE AND IF WE FOLLOW OUR DREAMS WE CAN GO ANYWHERE.

No Way No How

I REFUSE TO LET YOU STEAL MY JOY I REFUSE TO LET YOU RAIN ON MY PARADE.

SO YOU CAN CARRY ON WITH YOU PETTY CHARADE.

YOU SEEK NEGATIVITY TO SECURE YOUR INNER-SELF TO BE LIFTED UP BY YOUR EGO.

TO HELP IT GROW INTO A MONSTER THAT NO ONE CAN CONTAIN NOT EVEN YOU.

FOR MY DAYS ARE BRIGHT AND SUNNY NOT DARK AND CLOUDY.

I AM WALKING INTO A BEAUTIFUL SUNLIGHT THAT IS FOR ME TO STAND ON.

I WILL NOT LET YOU STEP ON ME I WILL NOT LET YOU PULL ME DOWN TO YOUR LEVEL.

NO WAY NO HOW AM I GOING TO BE YOUR TARGET OF HARASSMENT.

NO LONGER WILL I BE THAT LITTLE GIRL THAT YOU FEEL THAT YOU CAN PICK ON.

NO WAY NO HOW AN I GOING TO BE A PUNCHING BAG YOUR OUTLET FRUSTRATION.

SO GET UP OFF ME AND LET ME BE OH I FORGOT YOU CAN'T YOU ARE SO CAUGHT UP IN WHAT I AM DOING.

THAT'S YOU HAVE LOST YOURSELF ALONG THE WAY.

BUT I AM PRESSING ON AHEAD TO A BRIGHTER DAY.

Unspeakable Pain

A DARKNESS HAS OVERSHADOWED ME WITH A SADNESS THAT IS
OVERWHELMING.

NUMBING MY SPIRIT, FREEZING MY SOUL AND LEAVING ME COLD.

LONELINESS DROPPED ON ME LIKE A HOT POTATO.

SHAKING ME INTO ISOLATION.

MY HEART IS SHATTERED AND MY MIND IS HALLUCINATING.

WORDS CANNOT EXPRESS THE WAY I FEEL THEY SEEM TO DISAPPEAR FROM
MY MOUTH.

AFTER THE SHOCK LEFT MY BODY THE TEARS BEGAN TO FLOW FROM MY
EYES.

I SCREAMED UNCONTROLLABLY UNTIL I WAS BREATHLESS.

MY MIND BEGAN TO RACE AND MY HEART BEGAN TO ACHE.

ASKING MYSELF HOW MUCH MORE CAN I TAKE.

I WAS LEFT IN DISBELIEF BY SOMEONE THAT I CARE FOR SOMEONE THAT I
LEANED ON.

NOW I AM ALL ALONE DIGGING FOR ANSWERS TO WHY THIS HAS HAPPENED.

WHY HAS THIS COME ABOUT THE RUG HAS BEEN PULLED FROM UNDER MY
FEET.

WHERE MY HEAD AND THE GROUND SOON MEET.

WHAT MORE IS THERE FOR ME TO SAY BUT THAT I MUST CARRY ON EACH
DAY.

WHILE DARKNESS LURKS IN MY PRESENCE.

One Day We Will Meet Again

I KNOW THAT YOU HAD TO GO AND LET YOU LIGHT SHINE IN HEAVEN WITH A GLOW.

I AM THANKFUL FOR THE TIME THAT WE SHARED TOGETHER FOR THE TIME JUST TO BE NEAR YOU.

FOR THE WONDERFUL CONVERSATIONS THAT WE HAD FOR THE LOVE YOU HAVE GIVEN TO ME.

AS MUCH AS I DIDN'T WANT YOU TO LEAVE DEEP IN MY HEART I KNOW THAT YOU WOULDN'T WANT ME TO GRIEVE.

NOW YOU ARE SPREADING YOU WINGS SO YOU CAN FLY.

WITH ALL THE ANGELS IN THE SKY WITHOUT ANYMORE PAIN OR SORROW WITH TEARS TO CRY.

YOU WOULD WANT ME TO GO ON AND DO MY VERY BEST AND GIVE THE LORD THE REST.

FOR YOU WILL ALWAYS BE IN MY HEART FOR WE WILL NEVER BE APART.

FOR YOU ARE WITH ME ALWAYS I KNOW THAT YOU ARE HERE AND YOU WILL ALWAYS BE NEAR.
