An Ode To My Daughter

(NOT) JUST ANOTHER PICTURE ON THE WALL

You came into my life at a time I needed you most
I was so lonely in a strange land
I always dreamed of chasing the sunshine and butterflies
But my world was now confined into a small space of four empty walls

A little bundle of joy you were
So beautiful, so pure, so sacred
I screamed at you when you were naughty
But, you didn't even peep a word back
Just looked at me with those ruby red eyes
Saying ' Mama', 'I love you anyway'

And so the days started having so much meaning in them
Laughter and happiness was felt all around
The four empty walls were not empty anymore
There was something to come back 'home' to
I never considered it home anyway, until, you were there

You taught me love in a special way
You would not speak to me
But with the expressions in your eyes
You made me dance to your tune, ha ha

The bond between us was beyond special
Anger, love, sweetness, compassion, never hate, never
You could melt even a stone hearted man
Such was your nature and love for a human being

You never complained, but yes, you were oh so demanding
And I loved that! Because you taught me how to be responsible
I hated leaving you behind and going away
There was this empty feeling in my heart
I would wait to run back home to you and see your precious face
Hold you so close to my chest that we could hear each others hearts beating

Such was our love.

And then, one day, one fateful day
It was just like any ordinary day
But not for what was about to happen
I let you go play outside in the garden
And you came back distressed
You were in some sort of pain but your silence confused me
I took the situation for granted
And instead of rushing you for medical help
I waited till 4 PM that day
Death has no warning
And without a single sound
You passed away.

My angel darling little Pinky Rabbit
So pure, so sacred, so beautiful in that spotless white immaculate coat of fur
I know you are playing with the butterflies in paradise
You are forever etched in my heart my love
Until we meet again.

Your pictures adorn those empty walls now
This is not how an empty space should be filled
But I need your presence all around me, my love
So small you were in size, and yet such an enormous impact you had in my life
No one will ever take your place my precious
And you are not just another picture on the wall.

Sleep well my darling.

Confession of a Murder

Serious shots sounded
Silence untold
Secrets secondary to sacrifice
Severity of serenity salvaged
Sold to the sadness of a sadistic sabotage
Schedule of a senseless soul.

Afterglow

AFTERGLOW

She lay there in her golden aura

                                       Stung by a bee....painless

Soft breeze wafting her hair ...taken again.

Nature and Its Bounty For Three Style Ii

NATURE AND ITS BOUNTY

Nature and its bounty, we sometimes
 fail to see
Wrapped up in these concrete walls, the
 prisoners of reality

Silver moonbeam, sheets of gold
Shine upon the lake
Dancing 'tween the newborn leaves
Without a single break
                while
waves upon the seashore
Endless everlasting land
spread themselves with endless grace
And make love to the sand

Epitome engraved enlightened mind
Beauty fills the soul
Embers of a broken life, fills
the heart no more
Nature nor its bounty can never be ignored.

Wild Flowers

Wild Flowers

We are just like wildflowers
Growing by the thorns
We are just like wildflowers
No one to call our own.

The dewdrops wet our faces
And the sunshine dries our souls
We cant go distant places
And see the world in whole.

Our beauty magnifies us
In the eyes of all who pass
But we are just some wildflowers
So we're left upon the grass.

No kiss to warm soft petals
No heart to fill with joy
We are just some wildflowers
Who brighten up the soil.

We always thank our Maker though
For being humble and not vain
Wildflowers leastwise unlike thorns
Cant cause a life of pain.

Mama, Help Me Fall Asleep

Mama, can you rock me in your arms tonight?
I just want to fall asleep,
The pain is wasting me inside,
I’m tired but can’t close my eyes
                  Still haven't found my peace.

                   The world is celebrating Love,
As I gently choose to rest,
My eyes are heavy, pulse is weak
But the heaviness still weighs my breast.

Long weary years of strive I’ve passed,
You promised that the pain won’t last...
What’s that Mama, in your eye?
A tear for all the times I’ve tried.

Don’t worry Mama, I feel peace
Here in your arms I found paradise,
In the distance, I have found my sun,
My eyes are heavy and I’m traveling far
But this journey is a happy one.

Olympics Twenty-Twelve

As I put myself out on the line,
Heart pounding, sweat on brow,
Million eyes are savoring my every movement,
Like a majestic cheetah on the prowl,
I have to go all out..DO IT NOW!!

Hours of toiling, discipline and tears,
No time for defeat, drown out all fears.
Make my country proud, rise above all ecstasy,
Close to Godliness I must soar,
Forever endearing, yearning for more.

What will I own?
Gold, Silver or Bronze,
Or the proud colors of my National Flag..
Help me God to soar like an eagle
Above the clouds
To sweet victory.

The Way You Make Me Feel

Loving You
Simple ecstasy...

Sweet tingling of bells
Sprinkling sugar icing on a rich brown chocolate cake
Ice melting in a cool mint drink on a hot summer’s day
Sizzling eggs in a frying pan
Sipping steaming coffee from my favourite cup on a cold and wintry day
It’s the way you make me feel.

Dew drops on bright green blades of grass
Sticking my face out of the car window
Brilliant red globe on golden sand; sun setting in all its glory
Milky skies and cotton fluffs
Single bright star for miles on end
Cool breeze in any season
It’s the way you make me feel.

Juicy apples, sweet grapes
Satin on smooth silky skin
Red, yellow, purple, pink
Strawberries splashing into cream
A satisfying dream
Sprays of water
Splashing fish in a fountain pool
It’s the way you make me feel.

If

IF…

If I were a silver moonbeam,
I’d shine upon the lake
And dance between the newborn leaves
Without a single break!

If I were a smile upon a face,
My width would never cease
I’d spread indeed with splendid grace
And many hearts I’d please!

If I were just as I am now,
I’d try to be the Best
And priceless qualities endow
To face life brave through every test!

Warning: No Entry

NO ENTRY
(A note of caution from a father to his daughters suitors)

NO! You can't enter her heart and
Certainly not her mind..
Cause I'll forever think theres someone better
That she could always find.

Don't cross that fence
Don't jump that wall..
Remember her dads still
Standing tall.

When she was growing up, I took care
To hurt her now, you better not dare.
If you want to win her, you
got to get past (me)
Or else this 'thing' you got going will
never last.

Can you give comfort when she's down?
Will you always be around?
You have to impress, lad, and first, is me...
Or else read the sign boy
It says 'NO ENTRY'
