Silhouette of Ruin

silence chirping out
the sky brings shade to eden
close your eyes to see

Socia-Phobia

standing in the line i feel the pressure, scolding, start to build,

i feel their each and every iris as they climb the height of my structure,

this fortress i was forced, by fear in youth, to unearth and bare in hand,

with time has weathered thin and i with it feel increasingly translucent.

mutter and glance, hands attempt to contain their maintenance.

to look and to listen, not a single tone to note or color to perceive.

their contaminants infiltrate my ventilation, the stench is sickening,

pulse erratic and mind askew, i flee, steps fueled by incubated haste,

cause comes to such effect even the beaten path is bruised by its confusion.

the archway constitutes a sigh and with that a slow of pace,

fumbling finger over fidget, pocket full with whispers coaching panic on its way.

the breathe of smoking paranoia shrugs a calming gesture.

a wink of timid silliness and nurtured nature bring to mind,

how, even aware of relevance, dissimulation fogs the clouds.

Frolic Through a Memory

many have lost sight..
>love as a law, forgotten.
perception of depth askew..

in search of purpose,
truth viewed relative to goal.
>fun submerged in past...
adolescence falls behind,
as figures make time to pass...

imagination spread thin,
over minds chasing schedules.
conversation lost, with haste,
>poetry, frames the moments.

Simply Wake Up

sleeve of heart and head in hand,
blindly pacing, sight and sand.
faces lose all faith and will,
blurred and silent, always still.

one eyed man among the blind could tell the endless lie,
and all, shy god and insects, miss the falseness of his eye.

anchors weigh the state of mind,
imagination ties the bind.
see truth is rarely logical,
where as, sense and fiction rhyme.

due west, press on, leave east to mourn the plight,
of fading stars and last moonlight.
eyes open with the morning to see the sun ignite.
these days yearn for movement, move sloth from mind and sight.

activate the tools or comparison will pale,
despite your every effort, gritting tooth and biting nail.
path ahead is tomb for good intentions of the failed.

occupy your minds with thought or waste and wallow in the mess.
our home and hope will wither while you find what to assess.
for dormant minds, the truest dream, will always be no more or less.

A Spec On a Screen

i attempt to take a breath as structure slips away,
two lips and a whisper changed a universe today,

patterns contort and minds tilt ajar,
my soul is dumbfounded in sight of this art,

head in the clouds, where home isn't far,
seems ages away, knee deep in the stars,

i know not, the language,
i can not define,
but i know that its coming,
it's growing, it's mine.

The Box

out
escape
patternless
limits are false
realistic lies
see fact, is simply void
the box is but a concept
and more or less irrelevant
logic victimized by circumstance
the only truth, found in coincidence

Cancer

My shell,
My defense,
My only comfort,
I, that is, my true being,
My consciousness,
My essence,
Simply, as it is my nature, tread not beyond the shield,
My armor is bound to me along with misleading expressions,
The walls, in which, my thoughts remain,
My mask conceals, contains, deceives,
My fortress,
Behind both latch and lock,
Cast without call for hinge, nor key,
My shell.

Enlightenment

i hold forth nothing more than open arms
only truth with brace and bind
glances gaze away as if grasp the sight
to learn is to forget while to know is to remember,
only truth will brace and bind
my form is weighed with patience
to learn is to forget while to know is to remember,
recalling an image that shines as it hides
my form is weighed with patience
glances gaze away as if to grasp the sight
recalling an image that shines as it hides
i hold forth nothing more than open arms

Sounds Like It To Me

sleeping wastes my thinkin time.
my currency on clock is mine.
why use it to wait in line.
while wind still blows, and stars still shine.
i'd rather satisfy my mind.
watching the clouds dance for a dime.
they tip their hat, and i tip mine.
then the trees and i share lunch and wine.
a whistle on the autumn wind.
stops in to rest, then off again,
dragging feathers round the bend.
till the stream came in just to pretend,
that the riverbed sent it to end,
to nap until all's calm and still.
but as i, the river settles none.
past dusk when all day's deeds are done.
with moon alive and light has gone.
it's time to sing the song of songs.
bird and vermin, insects the same,
the ballad of the branches came.
the symphony of slumber rings,
from caves to cliffs and far off things.
we rejoice with glee, the night away,
till comes the time to turn to day,
and though we long for stars to stay,
we share the sky for clouds to play.
the cycle is a simple sight.
but with it my eyes seek the light,
allowing me to find the might,
i've lost and missed in times of fright.
i make it through on tooth and nail,
with light in sight, i will not fail.
i keep simple parts of life to use,
to strengthen the spirit i refuse to lose.
the pleasure that comes with these things i enjoy,
reminds me of years ago as a boy,
when fun and games were what mattered first,
when dad was the best and baths were the worst.
recently though i have come to terms
with lessons laid on my path to learn.
i decide to walk on my own till the end,
pat and turner, alone, my feet, my friends.
they've gotten me through more times than not,
through water, cold and gravel, hot.
barefoot down this road of life,
knapsack full of sun, my dog, and my knife,
i will gladly face famine, death, and strife.
alas, born a poet with no war to fight,
for the soldiers i'll pray,
for their families i'll write.
for moments in life are merely a trend,
but the meaning and passion of words never end.
now it's time i lay down my palette and pen,
to draw a new life,
just a story,
pretend.

Madness

a weight with me as i walk,
i drag it with my every step,
it' bound to me,
as am i to it,
my strength lacking,
structure questionable,
a slowly sinking hope is all that grips my fist,
my fathers eyes grow old and distant,
his grasp left far behind,
i aim to overcome his fate,
for witnessing his his path shined i light for me where he had traveled blind.
along with ignorance went bliss,
in its place i hold knowledge,
of both chance and possibility,
so know along this line i know,
this fear i can now face in life,
with hope i carry with me.
